My boys learned to do laundry when they refused to put their dirty clothes in the hamper. I said I'd wash whatever laundry was in the hamper, but I refused to go looking for it.

Well, I agree with everythnig you guys are saying. Did you know that they are talking about no longer teaching cursive - that is what I heard.

BTW, I am a mean mom. I boys do their own laundry and knows how to (much to their distress) do dishes...by this I mean load the dishwasher, wash whatever is remaining, and wipe down the counters. My 9 yo dd has recently started on emptying dishwasher and she is expected to do her laundry. She has recently started having to seperate her nicer clothese and washing them on delicate and then hanging them up. I also limit TV. Like I said....I am a mean mom. I want my kids to leave this house with some basic living skills. I

Your not mean.

We have had our boys Dishes by hand, counters, own laundry and bathroom (they seem to mess the bathroom up more then anyone else) for many years. They also help cook.

Our youngest son is 4 and is wanting to help do dishes and cook. The other night we had home made pizza, I rolled out the crust for him and he made the rest. Our 4 yo love to help out. He even want to change Emma's diaper.

took me forever to catch back up on 2 days of posts.

mom reported the other day that she collected 4 dozen eggs...... which is suddenly up from 2 dozen. iasked her if she found some in a place she forgot to check the other day and she said no.

so maybe some decided to lay

she has been spoiling them with vegetables and we have recently gotten sunlight and the temp has been above 30 for a few days.... so maybe they did lay that much. but that is alot.
i have ~70-10ish roo-10 possibly not laying hens= at most i have 50 layers. and if they lay every other day then it makes sense of getting 2 dozen per day.

it helps that there is snow out on the ground. the chickens do not fly out or wander far and lay eggs in random areas..... i will be sad when summer arrives.... no more eggs.....

so out of all those duck eggs you were trying to hatch you only had 1 hatch??? sad lonely ducky.... he will be so spoiled he will forget he is a duck and think it is people.

it is actually cold here again... now where is the snow?

i hated last week. it would be around 45.... not warm enough to wear lighter clothes but too warm for most of my winter layer clothes.... its that in between temp. 37-60 and 76-89 are threshold temperatures where i have a hard time adjusting. 60-76 is the only temp i am comfortable with t shirt and jeans.

i honestly think add/adhd are the perfect diet pills.... then again they were originally invented for that then discovered their better purposes. though the meds help me pay attention in class better, they kill my appitite. i think i am on the weight threshold of having to quit the pills for a while to try to gain back weight again, and because of the sideaffect of anoth med i discovered that i have a really hard time building any muscle mass.
i am starting to think that the add meds i took in middle school and highschool actually stunted my growth by an inch or so.... because out of all the siblings that are blood related to me i am the runt. and i am the middle aged one.

sorry for the rant, i get lonely over here in wsu. (funny considering its a party college) but partying is of no interest to me, people get too stupid for words.

trade anyone my biology 107 and anthropology classes......

i miss my dogs and chickens.... miss good food.

oh how fun! just sent away my check in the mail for my babies.

Dark Brahma Bantams! And probably some standards if he doesn't have enough. We are ordering them from Duane Urch, as we have had a lot of luck with him in the past. Little pricey but you get what you pay for.

When I do a job like that, I switch sides every barrow load. I shovel one load from the right, and the next from the left. It helps spread the strain around.

What do you take? Maybe your doctor could switch you to a different med rather than you dropping your med. Just dropping your meds is not a good idea.

My son heard last night that he is definitely going to London to intern for Google this summer.

adderall for many years, then switched to strattera because it was the new, anti-stimulant, thing but took weeks to get into and out of system. then tried an experimental trial- did nothing, tried concerta- nothing, tried vayvase for 2 weeks at low dose= super cranky.

so since november i went back to adderall.

all the medications i have the same sideaffect of loss of appitite, crankyness and it will make hormones hurt more.

i also employ many strategies to try and help me stay organized and have alot of people help me..... but its always like 1 step forward for me then at the same time part of me screws up and its 2 steps back.

adderall still stays in the system for a few weeks after quitting( but not at effective levels), but i like the stimulant kinds more because its more of an "on/off" affect. so i can not take on weekends and i eat a little more than i would during the week.

its just that going back on the med after the month of being off, but having my tonsils out- which caused me to lose 6 pounds- then back on this med and i am stuck at 101 pounds.
its also myth that birth control meds cause weight gain. what it does do, which they are currently doing studies of. it that it inhibits muscle production because we have such high concentrations of female hormones and hardly any traces of testosterone or androgens. the preliminary study showed that a person who worked the same ammount as a person not on bc. only gained a few percent in muscle mass compared to the other person gaining 40%+
one report just google and there are more information coming out in all the time.

sorry if it seems like tmi for some people. its just i never have anyone to compare experiences/ notes with. for some reason there are not many girls with add/adhd. and symptoms are different for guys.....

I doubt that there are fewer girls with ADHD. I have ADHD. Girls just hide it better because they have better impulse control to start with than boys.

I heard from H and H poultry. She's going to be shipping me Cream Brabanter eggs soon. I've ordered a dozen knowing that a 50% hatch is usual. If I do better than that I might have extras. I would certainly only keep one cockerel (if my husband will even let me do that).

I really hope they work out. Brabanters are so cool.
