I have some Mortgage Lifters, but no seeds available yet, especially for a cat.

Lost our power today. Was out for a couple hours. The winds are finally dead now, too. It was a wild crazy windstorm out there earlier!!

I hope everyone has survived the wind today! It sure knocked a whole lot of stuff down around here! I am putting the finishing touches on my little coop and hope to have pictures tomorrow. I wanted to get it all done before I posted any. I will also post pics of my brooder that I just finished today.

Hope everyone is having a great evening!

Rainwolf- My girls love the new feed! I mixed it in with the crumble I had left and they ate it up!

Hey yeah, but that's TWO cats and rooster

Hi everyone, I am back from barbeque and party.
It was great, weather held just until the guys got the chicken done barbied...We had a blast, laughed so hard with brother & sister & inlaws..great party.
We got home @4:30 and buckets and tarps and the carpet on the porch was lifted up and tossed over a 6' gate..must have been nasty windy..not any chickens out in their runs but the Ameraucanas..come rain or sleet they want out!!!
I have 1 more Cuckoo marans and 1 more blue Ameraucana hatched while I was gone..think there is 11 chicks now...then 4 more eggs left in the little bator (on the kitchen counter) and it is done.
The Sportsman, is going with still more ameraucanas...

DH and I stopped and looked at a neighbor's by my parents in Elma today, driving down their alley we saw one of those kiddie play houses up on stilts, and decided that is the way we are going to do this next coop which has to be big, at least 8x8 and have a partition down the middle for 2 breeds and pop doors like RRF coop that she has not gotten finished yet, please post those photos again RFF!!
Pretty please!

Then on 1 side we frame in the exterior nest boxes.
We are using OSB and 1/2 styrofoam board sandwiched together with liquid nails ala SIPS panel..so posts in the ground, and 2 x 2 frame, and screw the panels on the exterior so not pink fiberglass insulation...no 2x4 ballon framing !
Ought to go up fast, and be near as airtight and super insulated.
I will take pics.
OK all, now I will go see who is the chattiest, and:
CR::: Love the new title!!
Sadiesue:: Congrates on the job back!!

and Rainwolf:: Title for you needs to be 'the great networker'

OK Later guys...

Anyone know how to read the junk on the county asseccor's page? Our house lists 0.00 for acreage, but has a "factor" of 10,462. Could that be the square footage of the lot?? It has taken me months of digging off and on to find the page that had any data! I know what they think the market value of our lot is...but how do I convert the $ value into size? Really I only want to know because of the silly 1 chicken per 2,000 sqft of lot thing in Spokane...the coop I'm building will easily hold 7 chickens with room to spare (giving each chicken 4 sqft), but the current plan is to only get 3. If I can legally sneak a 4th gal in there, I will gladly do it! We go through a lot of eggs, so the more the merrier.

Anywho...if anyone knows any secrets on how to get info that isn't already there, I'll gladly take the help! Otherwise, it's three little chickies for me come March.
