HI jbear!

saywhat - first you have to figure out the sun/water of the area you want to plant... then talk to nursery peeps they will help you find something that will grow there.

does it only get sun at set times of the day? does it have no shade or always shady? does the ground get muddy there? is it gravel/sandy, clay or hard dry dirt? if you water there does the water puddle or seem to vanish into dry ground?

ya get the idea

write it down and take it to the nursery they will be able to help

what county are you in? I will see if I can decipher it. The okanogan county assessor web site is nice - I love it...but others can be difficult. Let me give a shot at it and I will see if I can figure it out. Just give me your county at this point...no other information. I will PM you for further information if I can figure it out.

That's not on the road??

You can see the road curving on the left side of the screen. Where the light is off the highway quite a bit...

yea, that is up on the side of the hill along the road. Weird. Maybe eyes?

Thanks!!

I have a contained area in the duck run I was hoping to plant comfrey in. That would be awesome.
Or if you are going to Monroe, I can meet you there.

Rainwolf...the spot I'm talking about is in direct line with where the water runs off the roof over he back deck...kinda puddles there in the sandy stuff. Anywho, I know th area I want to plant pretty well, I just have really bad luck getting things to grow as a general rule, lol.

4cats - I live in Spokane County (I think)...Spokane city anyway, lol.

Like in my neighbour's lot?

OMG, I was just going to say, DO NOT PLANT THE STUFF. It is invasive, I mean it kind of stays in a reasonable clump but heaven forbid you try to remove it. I sprayed a plant with roundup and thought I killed it as it was in a very bad location but the roots were ALIVE! and I made the mistake of rototilling before I realized it. EVERY piece of root sprouted a new plant. Word of warning, if you plant the stuff, do not rototill and plant it in a very AWAY location.

DD and I met Cowgirlgrace today and picked up lots of lovely chicks from a very nice person. I love all her animals! We got a few more chicks than we had planned on; 10 Barnevelders and 2 each Black Orpingtons and Lavender Orpingtons. I have 2 hatchery Buff O already, and though they're nice, I just was not wowed with them so I did not plan on getting any more. My hatchery opringtons basically look like pale RIR's. They are still young (6 months), so maybe they will fill out. When I saw CGG's orpingtons, I HAD to have some. These girls are HUGE and fluffy. Mine look nothing like them! Here are some photos: (Sorry, none of CGG - discovered my camera in my purse when I was on the ferry...)
