It is colder than applesauce here. We did not get much snow, but Spokane looks like it got lots. Hiway 195 is closed from drifts and there are lots of school closures. I have heard the plow go by the house, but I am sure this is because of drifts.
All the bird photos that have been posted are gorgeous.
The cabin coop is incredibly beautiful.
All the flower photos are gorgeous. I want some (if I could get over there). The one you called "snow in summer" we have in our rockery and call it snow on the mountain. I love it....it is hardy and very pretty.
CR: we had bees growing up. Domestic bees can be very docile. I remember how we got involved in bees....We had an old shed and we were using it and the pen off of it to house the baby pigs. Well, as the pigs got bigger, when they went in and out of the "pop door" they would rub against a board. There was a wild hive in the wall. Well, my mom went out to do the pigs, the pigs ran outside to see her....there was a hive of wild honey bees in the wall...they swarmed and attacked my mom. She ran - stripping as she went and dove into the horse trough. She was stung a great number of times (dont' remember how many). My dad extracted the hive, killed the queen, ordered a new queen (that was interesting to see) and introduced her. Blammo - we had a hive of nice docile bees. The honey was always so good. I always had fun helping with this.
