I should be getting my half of meat bird order by the end of the week. I need to clean a space for the brooder in the garage, and get everything set up. I don't know for sure what I am going to do with all the pots of geraniums. Maybe I could make a cold frame for them. I am going to need to build a bigger brooder for them. Last year I made do with what I had, but it was often to difficult for me to get it clean. I am getting 15 birds with this order, so I won't have so many at one time.

So is anyone interested in a potluck this coming May? I think that eenie said she would be here from the 10th to the 24th of May.

The Brabant area of holland is where my mother is from, but they did not raise brabanters. She had Barnevelders. I think Brabanters look like Polish (which are also from Holland).

I want to see pictures of the chicks as they are developing.

These are Cream Brabanters of the breeder I've ordered from. Aren't they cool?

What eggstremely cool birds. I hope you will sell eggs/chicks someday. Like the someday when I have my coops all ready to do something. Probably next year. Such a wonderfully designed birdnik

BTW I candled the am eggs... looks like all are growing! 2 are questionable... will candle again soon and recount live babies

Use the bag balm or vaseline or if you can find it the juice from milkweed. Bag balm is the best hand lotion/cream you will ever find !!!
