what if your (or One's) wart is on your (or one's) nose?

Use the bag balm or vaseline or if you can find it the juice from milkweed. Bag balm is the best hand lotion/cream you will ever find !!!

I had no idea that warts actually had to breathe !!

Walmart is carrying Duck brand Duct tape in a whole array of different colors now...too bad no patterns yet, plaid would be my choice.
But then, I am kind of fond of my nose wart

woo, just had to do the brooder shuffle. we have 3, two in rubber tote tubs and one i built out of a broken table, and a piece of formica counter. makes it easy to scrape out

. but it's a little window. we had to move some of the older pullets and cockerels outside..because we had two hatchers! little peepers needed their own space and it looks like we'll have another one before the day is up. we haven't had much success with mail order eggs in the winter, but they were only $.99! (plus $15 shipping of course) so... more little fuzz balls!

Calm here now, the news just said it was headed this way, but it won't be as strong when it gets here. Sounds like Oregon getting wind too.

Hang on to your yak

Russ

ETA- fixed typo. Started raining big drops

Not this part of Oregon...usually if there's wind to be had, we have it where we are. Even when there's no wind across town, we come home and ..... windy!

Thanks for your concern! I always make the kids take our two big dogs out with them. Hopefully the dogs would discourage a big cat! The neighbor is a big time hunter and gun guy so he said if he gets the chance, the "situation" will be delt with. Couple years ago the cougar ate the neighbors cat and came back for his dog the next day. Thankfully he was there and had his gun close. He shot in the air, made the cougar drop the dog which survived. He's not gonna shot in the air this time.

CR: You need to tell them about your BiL who shot the cougar last fall when out with his dog....

We are having sustained winds at 30-40 and gusts every 30 seconds or so, of up to 60.
Said Hoquiam is getting gusts to 60-80 so I will nnot complain...and no power outages so far, knock on wood....

OK, need advice. I have to head out for about 3 hours to meet hubby for lunch and a doctor appt. My brooder is in the basement where it averages 50 degrees. I'm worried about losing power while I am gone and my 2wk old babies freezing down there. They are partially feathered, but not fully by any means. I'm thinking I should bring them upstairs while I'm gone where it's a good 15 degrees warmer. Tell me I'm not crazy! It means I have to set up a temp brooder up here cause they are currently in a heavy apple crate!
