Thanks for keeping up on things this week!

I was scheduled to go in for a yucky procedure on March 16th and unfortunately the Dr called my this last Tuesday and bumped me up to Wednesday the 2nd!!! So I had less than 24 hours to get thing in order here at home and blah blah blah...... So long story longer.... I have been doped up and down on my booty all week! I have a gazzillion pages to catch up on so it will probably take me till tomorrow to be back up to BYC speed!!! I can only sit straight up for little bits at a time.

And if he's anything like my DH, it would only make him crankier. DH's buddy is here now so maybe he'll cool down a bit. Apparently, the evening out of the cement blocks is a little frustrating on sloping land. I wish I knew how to make it easier for him. I am SO going to owe him big favors once this is all done.

I sing that song too when I'm working on my coop...something about the nails, screws, and power tools....

My cousin has been in the hospital with the flu since very early this week, they diagnosed it as H1N1 Thursday evening. This of course brings up a lot of mixed emotions for everyone. This cousin is in her 50's, but I had a cousin closer in age to me die in 2009 of H1N1 with complications from a surgery on his ankle the week before. No one is really sure of what really did him in (I believe it is more likely that he died from a staph infection from the surgery), but since it was in the time when everything was being blamed on the "bird flu", it was ruled as a flu death.

Anywho, the cousin in the hospital now is doing much better and they are planning on sending her home sometime in the middle of next week. They hospitalized her because her O2 levels were in the 80% range...rather than the high-90's where the rest of us are (or should be).

OMG!! I put sand in the brooder, and I just got done watching my little Blue Wyandotte take a dust bath. SOOOOO stinking cute!!!

I love watching my big girls take dust baths....this was much more precious. I didn't thing they woud do that this young. She is maybe a week old, the other two are a few days. I may end up sitting by the brooder for hours!!!
