the only thing you can see at 24hrs is the air sack stabilizing from shipped eggs..
Normal candling is 5-7 days 10 to 12 days and just before lockdown imho.

here's a thread with photos of candling.

https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=261876

I do not advise candling often with eggs that cost or are hard to get except maybe 2-3 times total (days 7, 12,17)
the more you handle them the more likely they can get damaged and quit growing.

I try only to candle my eggs once at day 18 when they are getting moved, unless there is a smell. Ive only had a smell once and that was two days ago from eggs I took from a hen who was off of them to long.

Ok so does any one have any Raspberry starts and Boysenberry starts they like to sell or just get rid of? My husband saw the blue berrys and said why did you do that, so I asked him what he would like me to grow and he said the two of those's.. So I thought Id check here first than save and get some from Raintree if I cant find them.. Have to make the men happy if you want them to build for you..

If I'm not too late, I'd like one for my DD Olivia
1 L or M (adult sized) Turquoise or Lime or Light Blue
If there is a 3X that is longer than the average T-shirt, I'll get one as well (whatever color, but prefer blues, greens and coral) Ogress/Monique

Go to post 22848 to view the colours of the shirt then give me your order.
I'll wait till later tonight to go to the stores.

OK, we have a turquoise M for Olivia and nothing for mom.
These t-shirts are as standard as they come. Its the Jerzees Beefy T from Michaels.

LOL I said that a few pages ago for folks that are going to the Monroe show, but nobody said anything, so I figured there was no interest....

Get a case of liquid nails, and a few sheet (4x8) of styrofoam @ home depot..then build yer coop, and after you are done, go around the outside, and glue the styrofoam on the outside..then cut OSB, and screw it over the styrofoam, so you just made a SIPS panel..alot like the construction version of an oreo cookie.
Then you use oil based primer, and paint the coop with a roller.
Spraying it does not get the paint down in the cracks at all.
Then after the primer is dry, then you can paint it whatever color you want.
I think the 3/4" thick styrofoam sheets cost $8 something each.
SIPS panels have a much higher insulation rate then pink fiberglass does, plus it is continuous, so not drafts, AND it does not involve cutting, fitting & stapling like fiberglass, so no itch.
Cut it with a steak knife or sheetrock knife (box cutter) on 1 side, then snap it over like sheetrock & cut through the bend..super fast & super easy.

You have to cover it with plywood, siding or OSB or the birdies will eat it.
It is compressed popcprn to them.
