Shirts look great!! Especially for such short notice !!
And Duckie is adorable, she will love my daffy...What I love is their fluff, so dense & soft. Then they get feathers it is not so neat.
Like baby humans turning into teenagers...

Not as fun to snuggle.
When is/was day 28 ?

This was the one I got from Monroe for my first hatchling that never made it. So it is now a lone duck, waiting for the 2nd hatch.
Day 28 for hatch 2 is Sunday.

Hatch box temp is fluctuating a lot.
I might run to the store to get a LG for a hatch box.

OOOOhh NOOOoo, now I think I need Ducks! Are they noisy? Would the neighbors complain? How long till they lay? Are duck eggs good to eat? OMGosh that is so cute!!!
The shirts are awesome too by the way!!!

They are not noisy. The eggs are BIG and yummy. Just give some eggs to the neighbors & you'll be good.

The don't eat too much either. They prefer slugs to feed. Unlike roos, male ducks are quiet. Runners are suppose to lay 200 to 300 eggs.
Dunno, I haven't had them for that long yet, but I do get an egg a day, sometimes as many as 3 a day.

How long till they mature to laying age? We have slugs coming out our ears here!!!

When we built our house, we had our builder build one for us - he bought the springs, but we found many of the kit parts looked ugly, so he built a base that we rest it on when it is open, and when we have it up in the wall, it stores underneath and looks like a drawer. No ugly brass legs on my cabinet that look odd when the bed is up. Ours is nice - I love the thing - it is in our livingroom/library/guestroom. Vey convenient - unexpected guests, just pull down the handle and instant bed, already made up! I'll see if I can find a camera and take photos to show what we did in place of the legs.

I would LOVE to see it.
I want one in here in our little cabin...10 X 16 is sooo small!
I do not believe you need either springs or pulleys, a good heft & it should go up & lock via hasp hinges.

GOOD FIND GREG!!! I would like those for my future art studio...but we have zero storage room, but when we build our house that is exactly what I want for quilt fabric storage & art supplies.
I like the clear doors, so you can see everything but it will not get dusty.

Gawd Chicky, I knew you had a small place but didn't realize it was that small, Thats barely big enough to fit a bed. And you cook, store food, fridge, stove and have a bathroom too? Unbelievable! Do you have pictures?
