First, I don't think there will be room for a BYC table at Stevenson. Since it is an APA semiannual, silkie national, et al there will be quite a few vendors, more breed club tables than usual, more birds than usual, and will require more space. They usually have a nice lunch provided in exchange for donations- which allows them to continue to provide this service.

I can bring Welsummer eggs. Best darn terracotta egg layer. They may not get the press the marans get, but they lay far more reliably. I was shocked to find out that several exhibitors I know have a wellie flock as layers- the secret is out! I will have very limited welsummer eggs. I won't have any other eggs available, except maybe duck eggs.

Just had to throw this in! LOL! My friend Evan's young dog "Archie" that I bred. They came along for the ride. It's getting to where people don't even recognize a performance bred pit bull anymore, they are so used to the "fad" show bred dogs that look like whiskey barrels with short legs. Excuse please, I'm a proud grandma! : ) (for those who know about dogsport his sire is a SchH III/French Ring Brevet)

He was impressive. My mom wanted him. I know nothing about the breed. do they need water (to swim?) do they fly (they are so heavy looking)... do they get along with chickens (same housing)
are they more decorative or they any good at laying. can they help defend a flock from some predators??? (i know canadian geese are mean)

DH and I are going in spite of me over doing things. We have friends in Carson that we are going to stay with while we are down there. The friends have been after us to visit so this is a great excuse to do so.

Oh and I am hoping that I can get a soft serve ice cream cone at Top Burger in Camas. They have the best soft serve in the State as far as I am concerned. Normally I don't like ice cream. But Top Burgers is better than most.

The rest of the food is good too.

Yes, birds have to stay both days, but coop out is fairly early on Sunday, right after awards.

No, there won't be room for a BYC table, but folks are more than welcome to hang out with me and Jean in the sales area!!

blueducklings - I was the one in the Oregon sweatshirt.

This sure worked for our family. Between the animals and 4-h, plus homeschooling, we avoided a lot of problems. I couldn't have ask for better teenagers.
