Welcome to the thread. I can still remember being in a rowboat and a family friend rowed his boat from an old resort that was named Elizabeuah, and we went to Olalla. There is a little store there. If I can remember rightly. I must have been only 3 or 4 years old when this happened.

Hello Fellow Washingtonians!

I am trying to decide what kind of chickens would be best to start my flock. I live in Tacoma and would love any advice about the best breeds for our climate.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Washington thread. In Western Washington your can raise just about any kind of chickens. What do you want from your chickens? Do you want eggs, or meat, or both meat and eggs?

I'm right next door to you in University Place. There are a good variety of breeds that do well here, and you're in the right place to find them! Many of our Washinton BYCers are excellent breeders of many of the chickens you might be looking for.

My DD is the lead Service Tech for the worlds largest concrete pumps. They are going to use the pumps to place water for now, but the pumps will no doubt end up using them to bury the reactors in concrete.

wow. Sorry you only get two days before he is off again. How long will he be in Japan?

DH now doesn't leave until Saturday.

He is rather busy but he has still been able to help with a couple of things that I find overwhelming. He is much more relaxed about going now. He is going to be traveling with one of his best buddies.

Posting here isn't easy. I have a cat plastered to my upper chest. So I guess Achmed is say hello to you all.
