Chloe is feeling much better today. granted I let her sleep all day long. We got up at 6AM, and back home and in bed by 7AM. She didnt get up until 1PM. I figured that if she needs the sleep, then I'll let her sleep as long as she needs too. Right now, she is litterally running circles in my house, squeeling like my moms pig, but in a much higher pitch... She sure knows how to make my head hurt. Even if I'm feeling icky, I'm very happy that she is feeling better.

Theres nothing much sadder than a sick little one.

I don't think I could stand that beautiful little girl being sick...poor baby!
I bet she stays up all night now though..brace yourself mamma!!!!!

Nope! She's already rubbing her eyes. She should go down right about 9:30. She's pretty easy and predictable when she's feeling bad.

lol I was actually refering to the egg song. lol But the ol' Wyandotte biddies loved to follow me around chatering. So no I dont think your crazy! Your neighbors might, "if you have any." My neighbors thaught I was nutts until I gave them some eggs.

Hey, someone explain to me the difference between a BCM (I have 2 and lvoe them) and a Cookaru (sp?) Maran? DH tells me that the Cookaru Maran sits in the old gum tree....Sorry...I won't try to explain.

drat, it's raining again !

hope everyone had a nice Easter ... even those for whom it wasn't the Best Ever

glad I got the tarps deployed over the coop === during the last rainstorm there was a leak somewhere, and the sand on the floor of the coop got wet; it's taken five days to dry out completely

poo in dry sand hardly smells at all, poo in WET sand ....

well, we didn't get the ore troughs moved today, but I am planning to ask DS to give us a hand with them tomorrow, he has a day off coming then

at least we got two of them cleaned out and on their sides so they don't fill back up with rainwater ... the last one may not be THAT bad to clean out, I just have to put my shorts on and crawl in on my knees to get the crud out of it, then I think it may slide out more easily than the other two did -- especially if I have DS on the other end rather than DH (the difference between six-foot competitive volleyball player versus five-six wiry Mr Magoo clone)

the chicks are telling me that their run is still not big enough for the seven of them (8 feet by 3-1/2 ) --- they gaze longingly at the clumps of grass just outside the run --- meanwhile I pull up clumps from other parts of the yard, plop them in the run roots and all, and some of them actually seem to be re-rooting themselves, as the chicks give them a buzz cut from above

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

I went back to bed and watched biblical movies all day!

Had some flat bread with goat cheese for dinner. So far, so good! Gonna make some bedtime tea and call it a night in a bit.

Daffy is DONE with little fuzzy ducks in her house!
Ducks belong outside! Daffy belongs inside!

(Little does she know that there are 34 more of the cute fuzzy butts that are going to hatch over the next few weeks!!!)
