I am beginning to believe you...and am planning on keeping a handful to myself;)
Mine are all black...and maybe that friend will send me Cayuga duck eggs soon, and they lay BIGGER eggs than the runner ducks, and the eggs are BLACK!
But not so shiney....can you still touch them ?

Blue Ducklings, BlueDucklings,
How does your garden grow ?
With silver ducks and cinnemon ducks
And purple Calla Lilies all in a row ?

OK I gotta fade away for a while, my Mexican amigo Mario is coming over, so excited to have DUCKS!!
He lives in a neighborhood, and cannot have cackling hens...and he misses his flocks of Pollo he had in Mexico, so I thought he would love ducks!!
(The wine bottle variety of course)

And after this, I may want some of that Cinnemon after taste from Blue Duckling........about 12 of them to be exact !!!!!!!!!!
But I will be right back!!

It's OK, very common misconception.
For some odd reason, everyone thinks they need straws after oral surgery, and warm soup...exactly opposite.
Cold shrinks the arteries & facilitates the bleeding to stop, and hot dialates arteries.
Suction starts the bleeding, even the slightest drag on a cigarettes can loosen the clot..think Ice Cream...I have been a certified Oral Surgery Assistant for so long I cannot remember...the a CNA..I am certified in just about everything but welding...but I have CR for that!

That's awesome!! I handled the veterinary side of some of that, but it's harder to tell the patient to keep the gauze in their mouth! lol!!

that totally makes sense about the hot and cold, tho especially were capillaries and arteries are concerned!

So my new chicks got their first taste of the outside today !! It was so funny! they didn't want to leave their house!! LOL but once they got to checking things out they were dust bathing themselves and having a grand old time, don't know if this was smart but, BF put a pile of lose dirt in for them, while I was in the house, I guess it's the same dirt that's in the pen, just had some on the outside in a pile!! Got them in just in time the stinkin wind is blowing like h%$$%!!! I took a picture on my Blackberry and I'm trying to get it on my computer to show!! sometimes I hate technology!!

That is great news!

X 2! Here's hoping the 'cautious' part becomes an all clear with the new therapy...

Couldn't help but laugh about the rain in the hood... I was wearing my hoodie sweatshirt in the run yesterday, one of the ladies perched on my neck for a bit and left me a little present that I didn't find until later that evening...

Prompted this little poem to form in my head:

Ode to my Chickies:

Each day I come here to sit and visit.
I find your antics just exquisite.
To watch you play gives me so much pleasure.
The joy you bring me? I can’t measure.
But I do have one thing to ask:
I hope it’s not too great a task.
Before you jump up in my lap
To take your precious chicken nap,
I’d think it oooh sooo kind of you
To, um, take a second;
Lose the poo…?

That is great can I also use it?
