I've got it narrowed down to high-quality Labradorite and various unfacetted sapphire blue beads... and haven't spent money on new beads since March!

My stash will take me a loooong while to get through. I made a pendant and earrings for Mom's funeral. The jewelry I usually wear with that outfit was too flashy.

Sometimes I host beading workshops here just so I can get more money for chickens now! No longer have much time for beading and the stuff sells better when I have people design their own and I just finish it off for them. Need to do another... I will find a bunco party to attend so I can stick out a stack of invitations! Works well, all the ladies wear the stuff they made to the next bunco and I have more people wanting to attend another beading party!

A beading party sounds like a good idea. I do jewelry as gifts, but it would be nice to see people wearing what I made.

I have done some basic lampworking before, and have a good share of friends that are most excellent lampworkers, if any of you crazy for beads wanted to learn to make them from scratch, I could/can/would introduce you. Then you could make your own, of your own color choices, shapes, etc.

We had a mess of chicks hatch last night...and set another 34 or 35 eggs in another incubator.
It is dead still, mellow-cool and damp here...and the no-see-ums are clouded all over everywhere, millions of them!
DH & I sprayed ourselves, even the hair as the nasty biters walk through your hair & bite ya on the noggin.
I hate these bugs!

They will never go "away" unless we dry out.

Need dry & breezy.
They are poor flyers, so a bit of a breeze and they duck in the mud.
Right now they are so thick everywhere that you cannot walk around with your mouth open.

Are these noseeums because you live by the water? I don't think we have those here. I don't seeum LOL, or have any bites.
Did you get your Sand Hill chick order? I ordered Sweet Potato starts from them and hope to get them next month.
