Her conformation, could be better...and her lacing is not perfect...but overall, I'm very happy with her.

I was wondering more about general traits that his off spring tend to have.

They all tended to have his great performance and halter records, all quite nice to handle and be around, from what I am reading. But honestly, his actual "get" are no longer around. very old stud and yes he was one of the great foundation bred horses of his time. What his great grand children are doing now, and how they were bred after him... Well I would need to know the linage of the indevidual horse. As any horse with him as a grandsire or great grandsire, may or may not be an exceptional horse, depending on the lines that were crossed with the poco bueno line.

Not sure this will make cense to a non horse person, but I'm trying. lol

I know that Poco Bueno horses are linked to HERDA (Hereditary equine regional dermal asthenia) which is a genetic, skin disease. Not all PB horses are carriers or anything but it's something to keep in mind when looking at horses with those lines.

Broad muscly chests and big muscly butts!!!

BUT...... everybody is still not telling that they like to buck!!!! This has actually been a bit of a knowledge test !!!

I have never heard of them being massive buckers. Very cowy, and can teleport right out from under you. The Poco Bueno Gelding that I had as my first horse was sweet as pie, and such a character! Now yes he would buck, but only with a bucking strap.

Dont get on me for it, I was just a stupid kid then!

So sweet!

I get the feeling from the mavens at the Wyandotte thread that there's no perfect conformation except among SLW large fowl. There's buttons I've got installed when I was a kid doing 4H dairy and livestock judging and some discussions make me feel as if I shouldn't breed any chickens until I have utterly perfect ones. Which I'm afaid may be why some breeds are at such low numbers.

What kind of camera did you say yours was? I'm very impressed with the color captured!

I have a semi-professional canon rebel, but I use a program called photoscape to do editing. Its a free download you can use on your computer anytime. even if you aren't on the internet.
