x2 and yes Walmart does sell a LOT of junk there!! LOL!1

ya know I have to say something here, we have a friend who lives in Boise and drives truck, he comes through frequently and we have been giving him a few dozen eggs when he comes through, the first time he had our eggs he freaked!! He said, "those eggs didn't last two days in my house"!! They were so good and the yokes were an amazing color and my wife loves them!!! So now we agreed on 2.50 a dozen and he said there is NO WAY store bought eggs come close to these, beside he said, I have seen where they come from and what you feed your hens!! I thought that was cool, but, its just so true!! Nothing beats fresh eggs!!!

My daughter's boyfriend describes the ones I gave him as "supremely edible."

ok here's baby pics I just don't have the camera or talent you guys have when it comes to taking them so please forgive the amateur!! lol

Party OVER! Went well. DH gave most folks a tour of the goats & chickens while I stayed inside to see off folks who skipped the tour. I guess a resident RAT decide to make an appearance during the tour!

Glad I wasn't there! Most of the birds had already gone in for the night.

We have a TON of food left. I won't have to cook all weekend!!!

I hear you though. I currently have a new flock of Marans, new flock of Seramas and too many Ameraucana to fit their current pen/coop. Luckily these are still in the new grow out pens DH recently built me, but I desperately need another two permanent coop/run's built at least, preferably 4, and am not quite sure how to get DH on board with that! He got a new goat shed last fall, I had hoped I'd get a new chicken shed this summer, but I don't see it happening anytime soon!

I have supplies to build one more bantam coop/run in the basement. I had thought it would go towards the new Serama flock, but now I'm think they can move into the too small Ameraucana coop/run, and I'll have to make it a teeny bit bigger than I had planned, and it can then house the Marans as I'm only keeping a quad. I figure maybe the Ameraucana can maybe move into the layer flock coop/run, but that means getting rid of all the old non-productive hens, which are now kiddie favorites and I can't seem to get them on board. I have about another month to make this all happen or we will have chickens living in the basement full time!!! And DH certainly is not going to go for that!
