So, I went to get a glass of water and noticed I needed to fill the pet water dish, but when I filled the pitcher I saw the pepper plants were drooping so I watered them instead; to do so I had to move the sack of poultry feed which reminded me that I needed to check ABBA, who had plenty of food and water at 8:30 but were out of both, so I fed and watered them and thought about strategies to maybe wash their poo down into the grass, which reminded me to water the ferns and gardenia and then I came in and sat down and then noticed that I'd left my glass of water in the kitchen, and before I could get up the cat came in and started complaining that he had no water.

And I can't figure out where the short hose that connects the four way hose bib to the set of permanent hoses that go to the front of the house has gotten to, although I have a sinking suspicion it somehow got into the lay-out that goes out to the corner where the Hamburgs live.

*sigh*

Oh, well, we all know that getting the whole garden watered in June is a sure way to make it rain, anyway, right? And I'm nowhere near getting caught up on laundry.

You betcha Jen. We gave the boys a hug the other day when we banded them all, and we hugged the girls when we chipped them and gave them there cdt shots. The DW is so unbelievably good with giving shots, the lil ones hardly notice.

Creme Brulee is still only about 9 inches tall and she is now 2 months old.

So I just filled the water dish, gathered a load of laundry, took out the previous load, assessed the sad fact that I can't hang out anything until at least some of the socks are dried, started the new load and decided that I can sit at the computer for the half-hour it'll take to run, came in, sat down, and I still don't have my full glass of water with me.

Hilarious.

My sister and I came to a new appreciation of the power of puttering the summer after Mom died: all of the flower beds were in total disarray, the raspberries were full of grass and thistles, and two rhodies she was in the habit of giving a pitcher of water once in a while died of thirst.

it's amazing what you can accomplish puttering, but you never get any credit, because it only shows when you don't do it. I'm a confirmed putterer.

That Creme Brulee IS adorable. I'm not familiar with those type of goats, (like I know anything about any kind of goat except they can be pretty darn cute!), but I'm inclined to study a little more about those kind that Randy has. Not that I have the space for goats. It's just for planning my little "what if" farm. Who can resist a teeny tiny little goat with eyes that can make you melt? Love looking at everyone's goat pics.

Dropping in for a quick second:

I have a lady friend who has two pgymy goats that need rehomed. I know nothing about them, so if you are interested at all, PM me and I will get more information.

I need a nap.

Off to Twisp for our first Swim Meet. 15 yo DS and 10 yo DD. I'm tired already. Right now around 80 degrees here.

sassypants'mama :

I've been "stalking" BYC for almost a year and have just decided to finally sign up for the forum. I'm planning on posting pics of our 3 babies that I'm thinking are all roo's. I really love being able to read about other people's experiences with their flocks and have found useful info with medical care, etc. Now, I'm excited I found a Washington thread! I know cheesy, or maybe just that I'm easily excited
