it's all right. This is an illness many of us understand.

We understand it because we have it too!!!

If they send me 15 "packing peanuts", I don't know what I'll do. Maybe it's warm enough that they won't.

I know exactly how that is! DH has been promising for years to build me a greenhouse. Then I ended hiring someone to build a snow-sturdy roof for the dog kennel and am using that, but I needed benches. DH said he could do that. It took him less than an hour using available scraps, eye-balled everything, measured nothing; just a 10' by 2' frame on uneven legs at wonky angles, one support midway down, and hardware cloth scraps for the top - not only is it leaning and wobbly, but the wire sags, so the plant pots tip over! Ihave plywood scraps lying on top to keep my plants upright. and when people come over and want to see the chickens, he so proudly points out that he built me this nice bench for my plants! (Maybe I'll take some photos .... think opposite quality of work than the beautiful stuff posted by VF.)

One sunny day when he is not home, I am going to flip the thing over and put in a bunch of supports and saw the legs so they are all the same length.

But he's my DH and I love him anyways. If he made it quality, I'd have no story about it to amuse myself with.

You should have heard Mr H ranting and raving about no more chicken coops while we put the kennel together. Heck, I put the coop together.

You want some of my extras?

No room at this inn! I am just barely going to fit my 6 BIG tweener chicks into their temporary coop within the adults 8 x 12 run. But I totally empathasize. Even though I'm full up, it doesn't stop me from looking at eggs, chicks or hens available for sale and wondering how I can make them mine!

*empathize

But if he did a very nice job like VF then ya would always be wanting him to make stuff. That would take his time that he wants to use for ??? He has a good plan !!! And it is working too.

This chicken has been dubbed 'Piggy'. If you come out with food, he who normally won't let you get too close, is instantly in your lap! Not begging but STEALING whatever you have. He is an English Orp. Red Reiner warned me about these guys! I ended up with 4 extras Orp roos of course! I'm going to put all my extra boys(16 of differing breeds and ages) on craigslist one more time. After that I'm going to try the Yardbirds Auction. If they don't sell then they'll be soup! Their biological clock is ticking or counting down!
