The PNPA show is also listed above I believe the 3rd weekend in Oct? Its in Stevenson WA on the border of OR and WA.
Unfortunatly I have never been to the/a Chehalis show, we were going to go last december but then they had horribable flooding and had to cancle as the fair grounds was under water, and chickens cant swim well.
We did make it to the PNPA show, in the sping (April) there were alot of birds there, sold some birds, it was an over all good show for one my first shows attending.
Then there was the spring Chehalis show, I did not make that show, but from everyone I hear that did make it, said it was a small show.
From what I understand from old timer show and judges etc, the spring shows generally are SMALLER shows, and the fall shows are expected to be LARGER.
Poultry is becoming more popular every day, you have NEVER been to a big HUGE show until you go back east as I understad it. I plan to make it back east, and to the mid west for some shows in a few years, I cant wait!!
I am hoping this fall Washington Feather Fanciers show will be a good turn out, as with every show, its expected to be a nice one, but then again, I have not heard much from the orginization, and have tried to make contact. If anyone is interested in the President: Mike Dooms number to contact him for more info, PM me.
Hope this helps some, and if not, sorry!
There will be more spring shows, at the ever green state fair 2008 Josh Simon and others have been working hard keeping that show running every year, I did not make that show this year either, I did make the spring one, and won best of variety, but wasnt able to make the one this summer/fall.
I also went to the poultry show at the puyallup fair, was decent.
Take care
