Sorry but that honey bottle will stay empty for a couple more months. I won't harvest until probably late September. Depends on the nectar flow. But if it makes ya feel any better today I am making beans and ham and cornbread. And of course for the cornbread........ some of the last bit of last years honey.

Anyone wanting more info on the difference between an Overo and a Tobiano, go to the APHA website. There is so much it can get confusing. One major difference and how you can tell Cheryls is an Overo is Tobianos have a colored face and can have white stars, strips, blazes etc. but do not have bald faces. The white does not extend beyond the eye. Cheryls paint has a bald face. I love bald faces when the eyes have black eyeliner and they have blue eyes. Do not like the pink eye lids. Overos are my fave. My Pali overo gelding has a spot on his side that looks like a cowboy riding a horse and cutting or roping a calf. Cool!

Ogress::: LOVE the beads & the bracelet!!

Reiner & Cheryl:::
I had horses all my life until about age 35 or so..then had costs incurred with chicldren, so my 'toys' had to be sold.

Now I think I am old enough to NOT hurt myself anymore.
The recent unfortunate accident Michelle had reminded me.
That and horses are so expensive to keep now days.

Jack is still barking on & off, and growling.
DH has walked all over the area & saw nothing...
I am halfway expecting a clutch of baby skunks to be hiding somewhere....these woods are so thick here, grass is about 4 feet tall....whatever "it" is that is spooking Jack, it is not running away.
Think it be baies?
I know they will stay where Momma put them, and maybe eventually come out of hiding due to hunger...OMG I hope not!!

Yes I went there and found out that I had been told wrong long ago. And yes it is very confusing. So yes I was not totally correct and I learned something new. I learned about quarter pony (that's stupid stuff) and about paint color marking.

WOW got a pic of it?
I had appys, but had a friend riding partner that had Buckskins & one Toby.
The toby was a buckskin & white pinto with black mane & black & white tail, blaze face pattern.

That is why I go with horse power not horse poop. See with a motorized toy ya only gota feed it when ya wanna use it. And it doesn't have a mind of it's own so will only do what ya tell it to. Granted accidents can still happen but they driver error not due to pissy pony.

I just edited my post to say 'has' a spot not 'had' so I will try to get pics soon. Been meaning to anyway while they have their summer coats and are looking awesome.

I am going to encircle the garden with fencing..and let a flock out to free range in the area.
The rest are allowed up the hill, but NO chickens are allowed OUT in my garden !

No No No!!!http://bestsmileys.com/nono/2.gif
THAT is our food !
And I take it seriously, the cost & work alone.
The food grown will be blanched, frozen, stored, dehydrated, canned or pickled, for winter stores

CL, have you planted buttercup squash before? this is my first time and I cant figure out if it's going to vine or grow like a zuchinni (sp). I was going to have them trail over the sides of my raised planter beds but they are trying to grow taller than my tomatoes!
