I am watching out my kitchen window as I write and just saw the oddest thing. There is a hummingbird playing in my oscillating sprinkler! As it goes back and forth, the hummer follows it. He must be showering! lol.

I keep hearing that drip irrigation is the way to go, but the birds do so enjoy sprinklers!

Hi every body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so busy my head is spinning, everyday is canning, jamming, pickling, building and running for more lumber!
DH has left for CA this morning...we were up late packing, got up super early for him to leave, and I have a gallon of apricots and 8 pineapples calling my name.....gotta make jam before they go bad.
So, I will get rest & finish my painting while DH is away.....

Guess T-Hi & Kaneke are stopping by today ?
Will waite & see...and YES, CR's bell is on it's way to CA.

Hello Heather!

Happy Birthday to you and Audrey Lynn! We can't wait to see photos; but take it easy for a while first, end enjoy these prescious first days with your newborn daughter.


At Olivia's birthday party last year, the father of one of Olivia's friends brought me a gift. I was about to put it in the pile of Olivia's stuff when he stopped me, and said Birthdays ought to celebrate the mother as she did the labor. The children should be celebrating their Welcome to the World - so Happy (belated) Birthday to Heather and Welcome to the World Audrey!

(kind of like a BBQ - Mom plans the meal, invites the guests, goes shopping, marinates the meat, prepares the meal, hands the steak on a platter to DH to BBQ, brings DH a beverage, reminds DH to check on the steak, sets the table, clears the table, does the dishes, and as the guests get ready to leave, they compliment the chef, DH, for a delicious steak dinner!)
