OK, while in the green house yesterday took out 4 big cucumbers & planted more, and went out to get my watering can (2 seconds) and came back in, I saw a movement....
Hey, what is that brown vine in my green vines ?

he is so little !!

Edited to add: This little guy was a whopping 10" at best..perfect for eating sow bugs & earwhigs!

OK, now the weird plant...
Pistole in pocket (not really) I took these this morning...from every angle I could think of.
There is several, in different garden boxes...and these popped up last year, too.
Never saw any fruit come from them either.

and one of my pumpkins runnith over, the large box no longer shades it from the sun........

Ok, I am gonna get on the web & see if I can figure out what these plants are.
They do not grow anywhere on the property nor anywhere in the wilds of Western Washington either.
They come from something I composted, and then volunteer....OK guys, see if you can figure out the mystery plant !

***********Remember, the blossoms grow underneath the canopy of leaves, and they all face down, never face out or up.
After the blossoms fall off, nothing happens, and that may be a good thing~~~~~~~~~~~~

These plants look like no tomatillos I have ever seen...........
Maybe a relative of an egg plant ?

They do not have furry leaves/stems though.
And they never have set any fruit, last year or so far this year.
They have one single stem, grow upright, and do not 'wander' like a tomatillo.

OK, mystery solved, I think it is a tomatillo, but not like I have ever grown before...............

OK, I am off to eat something, and get to work on the painting..it is coming along slow but I am very happy with it so far..still have to detail the foremost otter.....
