Oh yes. Look at that focused expression.

I think she is focused on a rooster - she and Serius Black have a curious fear about each other. they will stand with their faces inches apart, neither one making an aggressive move toward the other, always keeping a trained eye on the other. She mingles among the hens with no issues. Our light sussex will even hang out and lounge in the sun with her!

I am posting some of my metal work for CR. My mother redid her bathroom and forgot to put in a toilet paper holder. So, I made her one.

Very cool!

Cool! So did you need a wasp for the figs?

I have eggplants! They are small yet, but they are growing!

Wasps? What? What good do wasps do?

Ok guys! The date is 11/11/11!! Veterans day!! How appropriate huh?? We have decided to go up the The Hitching Post in Post Falls Id. It will be him and I and my daughter and her male friend. Now, I have never had any kind of "wedding" so to speak the first one was with a JP and well, not the skinny person I should have been, let's put it that way. I don't want to tie up the forum with this subject, but I am trying to come up with a patriotic, red white and blue western theme kinda thing. I don't want tacky!!! I was thinking of getting terry a Western suit, don't even know if they make them?? I'm not even sure what I want to wear as far as a dress goes?? If anyone out there is good at planning and creativity on a budget could you pm me?? Because we will be out of town, I was going to try to get in touch with a local wedding cake shop up there. I would like to have a little get together, the night before at a nice restaurant up there and then, kinda do the same thing for after the wedding, it's at 230 pm. Mind you it will probably be chilly, so I have to take that into consideration! I guess the reason I'm asking you guys is cause I don't have any close friends here and my daughter is in WY so, you are the only people I really talk to kind of on a regular basis!! Ok, well, just thought I'd put that out there, I'm excited, but I am SCARED to death!! LOL I know crazy huh?

Some figs are pollinated by wasps.

Would someone at the Hitching Post be able to tell you about local bakers and restaurants? They might even be able to help you on where to get clothes.

what about a dress in red and white gingham check ? with a yoke, with ruffles (flattering to many figure types) -- shirtwaist sort of dress but with cotton lace to make it dressy rather than school-marm-ish ... could also be a skirt and blouse combo ...

yes, Western suits are actually fairly easy to get --- and for Western style clothing, one recommendation is Petticoat Junction in south Everett -- they have a website and they're really neat people (focusing on square dance clothing, but much of it is "street legal" too)

http://www.petticoatjct.com/

if you want "borrowed" -- DH has a nifty western shirt, white with embroidered red and blue roses on the yoke ....

(don't know if you would consider that "tacky" or not)

dress darkwash jeans are often considered "Western dress up wear" .. also a string tie, since guys are much more comfortable wearing those rather than a conventional knotted tie

to coordinate, you could wear an embroidered jeans skirt ?

just tossing some ideas around

your daughter in Wyoming may know of good Western clothing stores there, too
