Sometimes (and in my opinion) ) when a baby grows & all is well, it is the same sex as it's mother=no hormonal fight.
When you have nasty morning sick ness, verping, and the like, you have a boy.
That is my opinion.........and post-natal depression acts in the same way.
I never had PND until I had a boy (Boy OH BOY and a big BOY!!!!)
Contrasting hormones will applesauce you!!!!!!!!!!
BAD!!!!!

Im hoping its a boy. I would rather not do it again, but I really want my little Charlie! lol That way I can get rid of the girly parts that cause me SO many problems... PCOS sucks. But if its a girl, well I will just wait on the removal of said girly parts. lol Im happy and scared outta my mind. But I am sure all will be well.

I felt worse when I was pregnant with my son, but my sister felt way worse when she was pregnant with her daughter, so who knows! My OB told me usually people are sicker with girls. Everyone was convinced DS would be a girl - he got lots of dresses at the baby shower!

I hope your baby is happy and healthy, and the pregnancy is easier this time. ( my second was medically worse, but I did not feel as bad).

Well other than the enlarged heart with fluid, I also had pleurosy for 6 out of 9 months. But other then that I felt great. Nothing like this time around. So who knows, could be a boy, could be a girl. Guess I'll find out in a few months. Thanks Ogress!

Hello fellow Washingtonians!

I'm Julie. I am chicken-obsessed right now, but chicken-less, and I've been lurking on this forum for an unsavory amount of time trying to get my fix. I'm just north of Seattle, in a place that allows 3 hens. I'm hoping to start my flock in the next few months, and I'm desperately in love with chickens that have muffs and beards, especially Salmon Faverolles and Ameraucanas. So if you happen to know of anyone that has some extra pullets that are extra feathery, keep me in mind..or if you have fertile eggs that are just too darn pretty to eat, I'm also game to give that a shot.

It's nice to be here, and thanks for giving me lots of fantastic reading material to get me through this rough chicken-less time.

Okay, my brain is fried from too many things scheduled this week. I will be late to the Thursday night thing, because I have an appointment from 6-7. My obligation for tomorrow night is cancelled, but I can't very well bring two kids to a wine tasting (LOL), not to mention the fun of driving them to Tacoma and back!

DH is heading to work a little late tomorrow morning so I can visit the dentist - he'll be staying late to compensate.

Welcome! Are you planning to join us at Third Place Books (Lake Forest Park) this coming Thursday at 6:30 p.m.?
You'd be more than welcome. It's great to put names and faces together!

to the Washingtonians thread even though you've been listening to us natter and cluck for awhile

you may remember I have fertile EE eggs ... pretty pastels in blues, greens, and pink, plus olive drab

the girls are all gold duckwing EEs, the roo appears to be carrying silver, blue, and Columbian genes, so the chicks hatched so far, are quite a mixture ... we'll see what they look like when they feather out

I'll be at the wine-and-chickens party in Tacoma Wednesday night, may even take some eggs along if anyone wants some
