What happened to you honeycomb? just watched a vid about this, the guy said you could auto cut them open or cut them by hand before placing in spinner, is that what happened?

Well see since my comb was extra deep (it's a secret method) they had to be scratched open. We talked about and he agreed. But a large amount is smashed so bad and has so much honey left in that I am better off to just scrape it out and strain it. I will have some good snack goodies and some wax for who knows what ! ! ! It really sucks because I only got 12lb (1 gal). I trusted this guy to do me right. I guess I should have gone with the guy who offered to haul his stuff out and let me keep it until I was done.

Keep your honey comb for allergy season.

Yes see normally I wouldn't scrape it off but it will save the girls some work by not having to remove it and rebuild again.

First - here is a link to the thread that sexed our EEs. There are three cockerels & four pullets.
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=591369

I would get the names wrong - but the silver with the "black helmet" - most likely boy. Why - coloring - that hemet seems to be a common trait with the boys. He looks a lot like Charlie and Delta.

The silver girls look more like the one sitting on the edge of the tub. She looks just like Alpa, and Foxtrot is another silver example. You can see a brown versions with Bravo & Echo.

The brown one - see the "black collar"? Boy - compared to Golf in my thread.

The whitest one...that one stumps me. I'd say likely cockerel - but get more opinions

Want to see some baby (bird) photos. Middle DS says they look ugly. I told him that they were in their "akward" stage.
Took them out of the brooder box so they could stretch their legs/wings. They have fun "tearing" it up. I put paper on the floor for easy clean up. These birds are so spoiled. See them attacking DD for treats. rotten monsters.

Just for fun and cute.

But: 4-H mom...can you tell anything at this stage on what they need for improvements? I really need to talk orp to someone to learn more. I have been following a few threads and I am trying to learn.

Does anyone have any idea on how to move a small barn? I had a shed built about 5 years ago at my old house. We put in windows and it became our coop. Now we live across the street and down one house- essentially kitty corner. I'd sure like to have that little barn over here. I know we'll have to rebuild the outside yard, but thought someone might know of a way to move the little shed. Forklift? We're in Spanaway. I would certainly be willing to pay for help if anyone has any ideas.

everyone needs to learn how to put chains on their own car.
And note: it is wet, cold a flash is needed, and after you drive a few miles stop again & tighten them up!!
And maybe even windsheild washer fluid that will not freeze and a pair of rubber pants or change of clothes after wards.
ALL Dads should teach all their kids, girls & boys alike.

I agree CL. When I made her buy chains last year for her first winter in Pullman, the guys showed her how to put them on. But she never had to use them and that was a year ago. I would love for DH to show her how to put them on, but in all these years I don't remember having to use them in the city, so DH would probably have to learn how to use them first. I'm going to pass along your other suggestions as well before she packs to leave.

She will do fine;). I can't tell you how many times I drove back and forth to visit my parents as a young'un in EW all winter long. Also -- Sadie -- make sure she has good all weather tires maybe even with studs on? Front wheel drive does ok in yucky weather. And a momma's love gets a kid home too

Eta -- cuz I'm on my dumb phone and typos are a given lol!
