So,
We had at least 45-50 mph sustained & gusts over 65 mph.
Did not get much sleep!!!!!!!!!
I have let my feed cans (rubbermaid garbage cans) levels go down so I can stock up at the after Thanksgiving Sale......so each can had about 1/2 a bag of feed in it, and one blew over & lid popped off.
feed all wet.
A garbage can blew over (full) and trash was everywhere

2 cans with no lids we use for aluminum cans & recycle bottles blew over...cans & bottles everywhere........

Tarps blew off the one freezer......it is OK however wet.
Crap all over the place, buckets, milk jugs, lawn chairs...........yuck.
Good thing chookies were safe & asleep as they would have been blown clear off into the woods.
I thought the roof would blow off this barn cabin...but it has no eaves & that is a good thing.....hopefully all the roofing shingles are all still in place, I am not up to ladder work right at the moment
hmm.png

LOTS of rain..everything flooded.
But we are fine.

Off to get the MRI done today, finally, and then we get to see exactly what the heck is going on with my knee.
OK, hope all the peeps are OK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess alot of you lost power?
We have, so far, never lost power here in a storm....it is all underground, but can be knocked out farther away, like Aberdeen, when the PUD was working on a line & had to cut power for a short time.

OK, I am abandoned here..so I will get off the thread & get my work done & get ready to go...hopefully roads are OK.
I hate it when you are trying to get somewhere & there is a tree in the road.....where is my chain saw???

I am letting my broody hatch some eggs and I have read that the chicks will be more flighty. Will it help if I hold them a lot?

pettec63 I like your wedding photos. You look great.

G'morning from BC, eh?

blowing like stink from what we can see == snowed all day yesterday and was utterly beautiful, now trees have lost almost all the leaves they still had, bare and shivering

not sure but I think it is RAINING now, all the lovely snow turned to slush
haven't checked but it may be windy enough to shut the lifts down

cannot see anyone walking around the Village strolls either

we are warm and dry in our 2nd, 3rd, 4th floor condo townhouse suite

DH just brought me my morning coffee

Chickens should be okay though, the coop is in the wind shadow of the house and the big oak trees and the crate-coop beside it; also part of the run has a windbreak in the form of a big sheet of Formica wedged in the ore trough that makes up the perimeter of the run ... and the tarp roof overhead is well tied (may be saggy in places if DS didn't dump the rain before he left for work, but chicks prefer to stay in the coop anyway, when it's blowing, they don't like their feathers disarranged
