The pullets are black also. Very nice ladies. They will stay with Mr. Gimp until the lav are really big enough to do their job....so they will have a few months together. I could get a tarp.....and I could wrap them up...you don't think they would get too cold? That is so what I am afraid of. They would be up against the cab. ...I have a box I could wrap around the cage too and then the tarp and then the bungee cords.

I dunno. He is already treating the young girls nicely. He is being a gentleman.

pics when you can!! its soooo quiet here.... lol. if you wrap the crate like a christmas present, and make sure all the ends are secured and tucked under the crate so it CANT flap in the wind. they should be fine. wont even get a breeze on them wrapped up like that. very nice of CR to loan you a crate!

actually I had it in my trailer at the show and didn't want that little guy to be too crowded so Isold it to here for what I hope was a fair price. Why do I need 3 of those Cages when I also have airporters.

Well, I tried to skim through the thread a bit an welcome some newbies and see what was up?? Looks like lots of people are back home from the show! 4312!! I am soo sorry!!! What the heck??? Hope you and your kiddo and truck are ok??? Glad you made it home ok! Got home about 7 or so, stopped in Randell and traded drakes with a very nice couple who have a very nice chicken and duck set up!! It was cool! Hung out there for about an hour before I came home. Just want to say I am so glad that I came up to the show and met just about everyone, Hallerlake I think I missed you, although CR pointed you out I think! It was neat to put faces to names and seeing some peeps I haven't seen in a while like CL, 4Hpoultrymom, 4312. Thank you for all the support and the left overs!!! LOL still got a bunch!! DH is gone for a few days so I have some to tide me over with out going to the store! I did think about it tho, I think I missed the oysters!! Dang it!! That's what I get for trying to sell birds and talk to everyone too!! LOL
CR you the man!!! You have lots of really cool stuff and one of these days I WILL buy something!! birdsnbeast, a big thank you for sharing and all the advise and info, I had fun!!!
RFF you will be glad to know that there were quite a few people that really liked the Muscovy's! (although in the end I had to take less)

But, in the long run, I learned a lot, met some good contacts and have a very good idea of how to proceed with my breeding program to produce the nice sovies people like! OH and I just have to say this, it was pointed out to me just before I left by a WFF member who I believe had gone to Crossroads that it was a ........wait for it........MUSCOVY that took Crossroads!!!

Yep you heard it right!!! I guess that's like best in show at Westminster!! The Scovie stole the show!!!! He told me of all the hundreds of poultry and duck and goose breeds there that's what took it! That's crazy!! Anyway, I had quite a few people tell me I should show mine, so, I will have to evaluate my flock and see what may be ready for, is it Monroe that is the first show?? I think so, anyway Thanks to everyone, glad we were finally able to meet, sorry if I didn't meet you but, I promise I will the next time and glad everyone has made it back safe and sound!!!

Thank You! I enjoyed making it. If it is too big, you can use pliers to remove the last link (with tiny green moss-agate) and re-attach the clasp. I was hoping to put a different clasp on, but they arrived yesterday while I was at the show. If that one comes undone too easily, I can send you a different one. I love the Rose Quartz; I bought it years ago with a different project in mind, but didn't like the way it turned out.

From Ethel (Washington that is). Jump right in here just be warned things can move a little fast at times.

I managed to connect up with a few local (to me) people who are just looking into or have just started with birds. I informed them about BYC and welcomed them top join us. I really enjoyed meeting those who I hadn't it's normally nice to put a face with a name.

how cool was that that you had one in your trailer she could buy? very cool!! lol the little guy...he isnt done growing yet either. ..

4312 I did the same thing!! when I got hoss...I had to go out and cut the pop door bigger because he could not get thru it. Hoss took up almost half the 500 wire crate when I got him, giant bird, I sure hope his blue son turns out like him. cant wait for pics of all three when they are settled in

It was my "just in case" back up. See she saved me from possibly "having" to buy birds that I just "HAD" to have.

And I'm sorry about Horace. That couldn't have been easy.

Thank you. It was really hard as I cleaned out the coop this afternoon, and I found that I needed to replace the light bulb in the coop. It was starting to get dark and I needed some light in the coop. It should have come on already, but it hadn't. Well DH went into the house and grabed a light bulb. He found the CFL bug light bulb that I had used for a little while on the back door. The bulb is on of those CFL bulbs that has to warm up, before it's fully bright. It was a pain at the backdoor. I found that if I needed all the light on, that I was truly in need of a bright bulb that was bright as soon as I turned it on. So anyway the bug light now, comes on slowly in the coop. Unfortunately Horace is no longer able to try out the new lighting situation.

I don't know if the caponized roos will still protect the flock like a intact roo will. I have a feeling that I will end up learning about this soon.
