Although we have our own well, we do have irrigation rights, and in ground irrigation all through the pasture. I guess maybe I don't know enough about the water rights issue to give an intelligent response?? We have already fenced off part of it for rotation, we plan on splitting it up again come spring. I only have one horse now, 7 goats, so, it shouldn't be too hard to keep it fertilized and watered and rotated next year.

Nobody knows sufficient about water rights to make an intelligent response, including me. I just know a couple of people who've started small ag projects without finding out their irrigation rights and lost their keisters, so I thought I'd bring it up.

Well I know we have them, I know I have two pumps that run our lines. I know that when all my neighbors are running their water, mine goes to crap!! ( cause I haven't hooked up the big pump yet). I have had plenty of water tho for the past two years, the only complaint came from a guy who isn't even on our grid, he came over beating the door down the first summer we were here, cause everyone had their pumps off except mine, and I wasn't pumping enough apparently and it was flooding his front yard!!

Minpins are big dogs in small bodies, and very smart and independent , no ankle biters. and you really do need a lonely little serama pullet under your tree...did I mention she is really lonely? and tame?

We have a 4-H meeting on Saturday, I can ask if anyone wants the poor lil' serama. What color legs does she/he have? Do you know yet if it's a he/she? We'd take him, but I have 18 serama eggs on order to be shipped on Jan 2nd, and we will need to cut down on what we have if we have a good hatch!

she is black and so are her legs. just a pet , would she be good for 4H? and she is a pullet. I will take a picture of her tomorrow, mom is letting her hang out again but not letting her get underneath to get warm, telling her its time to grow up lol

Not so great for show, but I know one of our kids last year bought bantam chicks and ended up with 4 roo's and 2 hen's, and they only want bantams and needed more girls. Not sure if he is still in this year, he hasn't been to the last few meetings. But we have two other new families.....I'll ask! Someone may want him for a pet. We have another member who has been begging Meg for one of her Serama's too. So I'll let you know!

Ohhh no! Our Pomeranian is 12 years old now and still going strong. I've made promises to DH that Dasher will be treated well for the rest of his precious little life which seems like it will go on FOREVER. And then NO MORE little dogs. At least not until we get one.

LOL My DH raised & showed Dobies for years, and he says Dobies were crossed with Chihuahuas to get a Min Pin (

) and that is what they are, a chihuahua in Dobieclothes

So I asked him how on earth was a Dobie crossed with a chihuahua????

We are both hysterical at this point!!!!!
He said he don't know, but that's what they are, little yappers with a serious attitude!!!
One of my friends in Idaho raises Min Pins, and one of her girls took down a 40 pound Tom turkey one day.got it by the neck & a few well placed twists & it was all over.
Makes me respect them a bit more since I had to hacket 2X today to off a Tom turkey that was about 20# !!!!!
