Sorry to hear this Dawn, but I can empathize with you. The new ones are wreaking havoc on my formerly docile flock and I thought I was doing everything by the book - 30 day quarantine, then separate quarters where they could see each other for a couple of weeks, so I'm a little distressed to see what's been happening. I will continue to monitor our situation, maybe put the Araucana BACK into the bunny cage for time out again if needed. Maybe she'd do better with others, I don't know. I chose breeds that I knew would be pretty calm and docile and it's not fun seeing their good nature being taken advantage of.
Hope all begins to settle down with your girls.

I have my grandmother's biscotti recipe which is very similar to your mother's CL. When you make it, do you modify it to make it GF? I have used Splenda blend for Biscotti on occasion and those have turned out quite well. Most folks don't know the difference. My parents have brought me fresh anise from the market in Rome, Italy a couple of times and it has made some wonderful batches. However, it was so fresh that my mother complained her suitcase and all of it's contents smelled of anise after that. I don't think that is such a bad thing!

I don't like sweet corn for eating, and my feelings are anything under two acres is a waste of space, because the best thing about sweet corn is to pick it into feed sacks and sell it with the dew still on and make money fast. It's sort of contrary to my theory of raspberries, which says you want exactly enough plants of successive-fruiting varities that you can pick as many as you want to eat every day and never waste any nor have to make jam (which I can't eat).

I have made many varieties with the splenda-pectin that is available now, for both my Dad & DH's Dad who both have diabetes.
I also made a huge mess of applebutter & used the tiniest dab of splenda to sweeten, as it is so cooked down it is already quite sweet.
I like to have the tartness in it also..like a mushed hunk of apple pie innards

I really, really loathe all sorts of artificial sweetners, Splenda included. It turns out that about 10% of humans are supertasters for artificial sweetners, the earlier you're exposed the more likely you are to get sensitized by them, and I started being exposed bigtime when dad was diagnosed when I was six.

I'm not actually much for sweets, anyway. I like red blackberries!

Thanks Rustler-Neighbors are good with it and luckily it is on the garage side of their house. We sre in rural Clark county not city regs here so no limits on chickens but I am not getting roosters to keep the peace with neighbors.
