The pics I have seen shows she has cabinet with multi racks of eggs. She said she has the racks by the stove. Said the roads are too nasty they don't want anybody driving and they aren't leaving just want prayers. Wish she was closer I would be taking a generator to her.

Also she can read our posts on her phone just can't reply !

So I wanted to relax..... I get my glass out and pour my vodka... except nothing comes out.... it was frozen solid.....
last i checked alcohol is not supposed to stress you out before you even pour it, or drink it....
now it is thawing and the consistency is of snot..... its really weird.
I guess vodka can freeze and my minifridge is very special.... 31* in milk section.... freezer is still dropping but is down to -8* the freezing point of alcohol is around -16*.... i think my freezer succeeded or it also helps that the bottle is in contact with the back of the freezer where the element things are.... and that is colder than ambient air..... I recommend Frigidaire as a great brand.
Here is SCIENTIFIC proof that vodka freezes.

Our power has been out this way for about 2 hours. Reading by candle, posting by phone.

I hope those chicks are ok. I have no bright ideas on helping.

freezing point of ethanol is -16*F

My freezer is now at -18*F. yes i am this bored to drink and watch the temperature drop.

this is the same wireless temperature thingy that i use in my incubator, i trust it.

So it is possible to have 40% alcohol (80Proof) freeze.

edit: and yes that is baby flannel in the background. i am drinking and quilting. who would of thought of that combination? and for a college student.

Do ya have wood heat ? keep them covered but make sure they get air. Maybe hand warmesr if ya have em.

Also keep in mind you may wantto save your cell battery for emergency.

Wow it's been busy today!

We had a short power outage but honestly - We got about 1, maybe 2 inches of snow today, winds occasionally gusted up to 20 mph in the early morning then died off to breezes. Snow stopped around 9 AM, it's just been cloudy since then.

A nice phew, but, the chickens are still unhappy and my Shamo was found trekking thigh-high in snow (he's got LONG legs) which really frustrated me, so, I walked him back to his coop and fed him there, thankfully after that he stayed. Shamos are not a snow/cold loving breed.
