Oh can I say yes yes yes, if they are true ones that is. Have you looked at the comb the hen has two and the roo has three does that make sence?
Let me know oh what color are they by chance..

yes, they're true blue ameraucanas. Right now, they're a little less than 2 months old (hatched March 8). I got them from AHappyChick, along with some FBCM and a silkie

I'll have to go out and take a closer look at those combs...

They're all blue, no splash or black. A couple are darker than the other two, but still blue.

I couldn't tell anything from their combs. One has a much smaller comb, though. I hope I don't have 3 boys and 1 girl... I want more than 1 girl!

I can try. My camera has been temperamental lately, though... grr

If anybody is looking for a SILKY ROO. I have (at least) one that is looking for a new home. He was bought at a feed store about the first of March. Color appears to be white. OK so hears the catch, the price. TAKE HIM give him a good home and save me taking him to the unknown at the sale.

Coturnix are here!

It was a disappointing hatch, my buttons were 75% on shipped eggs, these guys, only about 50

I think I killed them. I had 22 pop out overnight, and I had to get them out because apparently their yolk doesn't last as long. Many of the quail people on here say don't leave them in there longer than 24 hours. Unfortunately, 24 hours would have been smack in the middle of my workday, so I had to do it before then.

Do you know how long it takes to catch 22 babies the size of your thumb???? We had 3 more hatch shortly thereafter, and one zipped but then quit, but I think it had quit before I ever took the others out in the first place. but no more. Sad times. I chucked the eggs tonight before trash night. Luckily, many felt very light, so I think that maybe there were more clears that I didn't pick up when I candled. They're kind of hard to see through.

Waiting till tomorrow to see if I get another turkey egg, then setting those tomorrow night. I'll add 4 EEs in a week, so the idiots have help finding food. Sure am

that these eggs are good. I'm going to try to sell whatever eggs she lays the rest of the week, but don't want to hold these much longer as the first one is closing in on 8 days old now.

Seriously need a second 'bator....

OK, this is the best I could do with the pics. It's hard enough to keep track of which ones I've already picked up, let alone getting a good pic with my ^*&$^* camera. It's just one of them, but maybe something about it could help figure out the others...

Oh, and while I'm posting pics, wanna see my FBCM roo? He's the same age(7 weeks). He's starting to get those copper feathers on his back. There are a lot of pin feathers underneath that you can't see yet in the pic but are really coming in

The BCM looks nice from what I can see, it takes time, I had one roo who had a little color and as he aged he got his color nice and dark but still wish a little more on his back. But hes just a year so more could still come in..

Thanks for the info on the auctions. I really must schedule a Saturday at the auction soon. Loads of fun. The hard part is coming home empty-handed. I really don't have room for more hens. I'm already walking on the dark side of the law as it is with 6

Got my run completed today and turned the girls out in it this afternoon. Cool, but they enjoyed the sunshine and freedom. I've had them cooped for a week now and sort of hoped they'd go back in of their own accord if they got chilled. I left their light on (just in case). No such luck. They all huddled UNDER the ramp to the pop door and looked miserable. I had to pick them up one by one and put them back inside. Maybe tomorrow they'll "get it."
