Illia, I don't have any photos yet, but I got your splash Araucana and a wheaten Ameraucana. I had just reported this past week that both are laying! The Wheaten lays some particularly nicely colored eggs. I will try to get pics of them this next week and post/send them to you. Both girls are fully integrated into the flock, the Araucana has decided she doesn't need to be such a bully anymore and has calmed down. The Wheaten is a little submissive and gets shooed away from treats by the others which results in her making a LOUD fuss until I toss her treats directly, so she's learned to speak up for herself!

That's so good to hear

Now I'm trying to remember who got my silver duckwing Araucana . . . . Thought it was you, then remembered otherwise. Yes, the Wheaties I sold, at least when I had them, laid the richest blues I've ever known. All my EE's right now, except the Olive Eggers, are based off of them.

And yep, the Wheaties were usually kinda submissive, I find that to really be an Ameraucana trait, and the Araucanas are always in need to be on top!

Even my (passed away, rip) Shamo hen would occasionally get pecked on the head by my current splash cuckoo hen.

So I'm sitting outside with the showgirls telling them they have to be good girls or they go to a new home. When out of the corner of my eye

I see a nasty little mouse... So tonight all the traps go out again.. So when I told my husband about it he said did you name it.. OK I'm a softy but not that soft..

So what was the Rat Zapper called? Saw the video didn't like it but guess I'm sure I have a few of them out there too.

DH said OK to finally building me the trundle feeders... told him we would save a lot of money that way...

So I was counting all the chickens outside and I dont have that many, I have like 25 big girls and boys and 8 little one's.

Hi Illia,
I have one of your Wheaten Ameraucanas, the Black Copper Marans pullet and the two Araucana pullets including the silver duckwing.
They are sweet birds and seem content. I've only had a couple eggs from the Marans. Nothing from the others although the Araucanas were quite young when I got them.
Next sunny day I'll take some photographs of the silver duckwing and post them for you.
Actually, I'll take photos of all of them!
We love photos here on BYC, don't we?!

Dropping in for a sec to ask, anyone got photos of the hens/pullets I sold them a while ago when I was cutting back on my flock? I can't remember who got what Araucanas and EE's and would LOVE to see how they matured, especially the tailed Araucana girl.

Would also love to know how everyone's are doing. I heard from the new home of some BCM's I sold, I think that's about it lately.

Just wanna know.

I'm very excited to see some photos.

How red has the Araucanas' breast gotten?
