SadieSue: My Mommie mentioned that she wants a list of the wines you offer for sale (not the kits) that can have a personalized label put on....she also wanted a few more white wine choices.....

I got 2 Syrah, 2 Merlot, 1 Tacoma Narrows & 1 Tacoma Harbor.

So I took her to the web site & we still could not fins a list of wine (bottled) and for sale with the personalized labels. She also cruzed Rich's favorite recipes & read the Risotto & bacon and when she saw he called for jasmine rice she said OH NO THIS IS WRONG!!!
Risotto is ONLY made with Arborio rice...LOL (Italians !

Dang cursor & now jumping from red to black font ! (see parentisis above )

OK, later peeps, I got work to get done.

Chickielady,
I'm not at work today. I have to work on completing financial aid paperwork for DD, even though she is not eligible for financial aid in the way of grants. However, she should be able to be awarded scholarships and these forms have to be complete and on file for that purpose. I hate paperwork. But I do like scholarships! When I get back to the shop I will email you a complete list of the wines with prices we currently have available. In the meantime as for whites, we have:
Vino Bianco (an Australian Chardonnay),
Vino Grigio, (Pinot Grigio)
Tacoma Harbor, (Piesporter)
Paradise (Peach Chardonnay)
Summer Splash (Green Apple Gewurstraminer)
Winter Frost (Ice Wine)

And then there are the reds:
Columbia Valley 2010 Merlot
Columbia Valley 2010 Syrah
Tacoma Narrows (Primativo)
Rock Star Red Merlot
Rich's Tavola Rosso (Super Tuscan)
Sweet Dreams (blackberry merlot)
Commencement Bay (chocolate Port)
Tawny Two Bridges (Tawny Port)

I will let Rich know he'd better change that Risotto recipe per your Mom.

I know!!! Well I believe I will have a few here in a few months, so he better watch it, I just might make a trip over when he's gone and slip one in!! LOL! Hey I heard your liken the Muscovy's?? I'm tellin ya, you need to show them some slugs!!! We don't have them here, it would probably be quite a treat for them!
Well, Terry really liked G and was getting all kinds of ideas from being there!! I knew if he met some of my BYC friends he would find out why I love this forum and all the great peeps on it!! I'm telln ya CL chickens and goats are like potato chips, you can't have just one!!! LOL!

I found a recipe for Polish pancakes yesterday. They were in the dessert section of my cookbook, but I made them for breakfast. One cup cottage cheese, two tablespoons flour, three eggs. Put through the blender until smooth. Cook like pancakes. I served them with my sister's good elderberry syrup. Mr Hallerlake liked them much better than regular pancakes.

I'm off the lead the Haller Lake Garden Club on a tour of the winter garden at the arboretum.

I am afraid if I let them loose in the yard that they will just wander off not knowing where home is yet.
They DO go in their coop at night by them selves now...so sweet !
I do not want a hissing snapping male Skovie though...seen the ones TotalColour has, beauties but big & mean !
They ever bite you ?

Hey guys

I hope everyone is having a good night. Just a quick question, I am looking into getting a incubator so I can hatch my own chicks next spring. Can anyone recommend a good one? What is better still air or circulated air Nothing to big. Just want one that will do the trick. Oh and I want one that automatically turns the eggs because knowing me I will forget.

Broody hen =) They don't need storage - they do a GREAT job of raising chicks - and it is so much fun watching mama teach them everything they need to know! And no chicks inside - mama keeps them plenty warm. We have raised two batches of chicks this way and love the results. Check out the broody hen thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...ody-hen-hatch-a-long-and-informational-thread

yes tell Rich to post this list is available for personalized labels as well !
Momma insists that risotto is arborio & must be stirred and add broth, stirred & add broth, takes forever, but is rich & creamy, the signature of risotto.
Thanks for the reply !!

I love my Hovabator Genesis 1588. They are relatively cheap, compared to other types, and they are literally "set it and forget it". The 1588 is a forced air (I do NOT recommend a still air, I've had one of those too, and YUCK!) You can get the incubator and turner shipped to you for less than $300. www.gqfmfg.com
