ANNOUNCEMENT

I am planning a Chicken party at my house on Sunday July 1st. All the Washington Peeps are invited

spouses and kids are invited too. Just one thing, if you bring your kids you will have to keep an eye on them. probably will have to keep an eye on some spouses too

even though we are on 12 acres, there are TWO others house on it too. we have to respect their privacy ! about 4 or 5 acres are behind my house. theres not much too do here so the kids might get bored

Because I work in a bakery, I will supply Hamburger and Hot dog buns. Because CR lives way out in Tim buck too, he will supply the meat to go in the buns. probably some kind of Road Kill. we can pot luck the rest.

I will have more details later... just another little note. WA4-Hpoultrymom and her family are postponing a trip back east ( right Tamara ? ) just so they can come to my party and meet EVERYONE... so ya better show up

Well -thank goodness we finally caught the escaped rooster. I ended up using my nine-year-old's bug net

Thought he was in a shed and I wouldn't need it - but wouldn't you know when I got there he had escaped the shed too? UGH! It took a while - but we finally got him!
Lesson learned - don't even open the box - reach your hand in and grab the legs!

to the thread! I'm up the road in Outlook! Ok it's a FEW Miles away! What are you looking for in way of chicks?? This is a great place to start not only learning about chickens, but to get good quality chicks! Glad your here, if you need anything just pm me, I go to the tricities off and on, so maybe I can help?

For those of you who do not follow facebook, or who are not on my page.

I let my Dusty dog go on Febuary 29th. That had to be the hardest day I have had yet. Much harder than anything else I have endured, and just as painfull as losing a human family member. I am feeling better about my decision now that she is no longer in pain. But letting go and saying goodby was excrutiating. I spent all day on the 29th loving on her and crying. But I know she had a pain free and piecefull end.

I rescued Dusty as a 6 week old pup, and had her with me for 12 years. She was quite litterally my first child, and I will always love and miss her.
