I had just been thinking about how much nicer my clothes and furniture would look with the black hair, rather than the white hair. This mutt is going to get himself a bath this afternoon. We don''t know if he has ever had one. This could be quite the learning curve for all of us. DH and I have found that the squirt bottle works wonders on Jet. He is going to learn about inside voices and outside voices. We still haven't introduced him to the chickens yet. We are still working on the little dogs. DH is a worrier, and I just don't
know this dog well enough yet to be able to dis agree. DH is brushing him out, so he can get his bath. So I am going to go help.

Hope it goes well! It always takes time for a new dog to settle in, no matter where it comes from. You are all still getting used to one another, but things will come with time.

Well, hope everyone is enjoying there sunday! I have a question, is it ok if I post pics of the camper I want to convert?? I would like to get some ideas of how to redo it for either brooding ect. This is MY project, I told my husband he doesn't need to help, he is already worried that what I have planned will include him!! I told him I DO NOT want his help!! He can finish the tasks he has set for himself, and not worry about mine. I just thought if I post them, then, you guys can PM me with ideas ect.

Oh and hatch day is tomorrow!!!

eggsiting stuff!!!
ok well gotta get!

Oh BTW I found some very interesting hatching information on the Brinsea site!

It was about egg cooling during incubation! it is very interesting, and makes me not so worried about when my bator kept cooling down!!
heres the link

http://www.epsaegypt.com/pdf/2011_june/15- 1271.pdf

Hmm ok, not sure if that will come across as a link to click, if not you can go to Brinsea.com click on incubation topics and it's under egg cooling during incubation.

oh ok good looks like it did!!!!
Dang I think I may have heard somebody say something to that effect. It's only natural that the temps would drop when the hen gets off nest to eat and etc.

My SF girls, Ondine and Twila, need a handsome boyfriend like Fudge. I would love to raise beautiful little yellow SF chicks again! Some night I'm just gonna come down and "borrow" Fudge on a semi-permanent basis. It's not rustling if I've let you know ahead of time, is it CR?

you know I had one that would just grab your skin and twist when giving her treats, rotten bugger...good pics, look how much bigger he is than everyone else lol

Most of the "barred" ladies are Rocks. Not the smallest hen around...I always thought decent...next to him they look like banties. LOL.

Hi everyone, I'm kind of new around here, although we've had chickens for about a year and I also had chickens when I was a kid. My wife is recently fixated on salmon favorelles and I've had a really difficult time finding any local chick sellers who are selling them. Does anyone have any tips on finding some? I've been checking craigslist and the local feed stores to no avail. I live in Olympia, but I'd be willing to travel a couple hours to get them.... help?

Ok so Im going to make a file on my puter with BYC recipes and put them all on it. So if anyone has any send them my way OK, maybe if I get lots I'll make something up for the show for all of us. What do you think?
I know I have lots going on but have to do other things to keep me going...

My son will be getting out of the hospital on Tue, they are making him stronger so hope now he call tell DW its over. I know I shouldn't say that but after a class we went to yesterday he needs to for his mental health. I do love the girl as if she was my own daughter but saying that she needs a good kick in the pants I tell ya...
Better go have a great day everyone..
Oh SadieSue see you later gaiter

Her mother will be happy at least.

to say the least I made it home with Jet. He is a very smart, and active dog. He is going to need a lot of reminders of the rules. But he hasn't shown any sign of aggression towards DH or myself. He is so curious and inquisitive about his new surroundings. It is going to take sometime for him to be comfortable again. I am beyond happy about how everything worked out during the past two days. I met a lot of great people today, and I was helped by so many people through out the day. I was doing very well until, this afternoon, I must have hit my limit, because I got more disorganized and forgetful. I lost my boarding pass twice, and I left my cell phone in the rental car. I had to go all the way back to the rental center to get the phone. I am pretty sure that I have been a dingbat for most of the day. I am grateful that I was able to get on an earlier flight, and I was able to get home about 10pm. I now hope that tomorrow will be better again.

So here is Jet. He needs a bath really bad. He seems to love to have his picture taken.

He's spooky.

I had to always wear black or dark with my Black Labs, Bingo & Samantha (and all the poopy dogs) then I got together with DH & he had WHITE walls, carpet & chanpagne furniture.....UGH!!!!!!!
Then we moved & did bamboo floors

and with Burgundy Oriental rugs.....so had giant whooly boogers which would rool across the floors, but easier to sweep up!
Then we got Magdalena Arrabella (yellow labradorian pup dog) who contrasted with the black clothes so we all had to switch to plaid !

Your home, car & clothing must match your dog !
