Thanks... I was waiting for monday to go to get tea tree oil from the natures market, but heck, If i can get it at wally world!

By the aquarium stuff, This product is 100% tea tree oil, and we used a few tablespoons in a 2500 gallon fish pond to kill fungus on fish.
The cool part is how cheap it is, and if you get tea tree oil at the health food store it is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
be advised this is very strong, use a few teaspoons in a small jar of vaseline & keep it just for the chickens, mix weel & push it up under his raised scales. May help to trim all his foot & shanks feathers too.
Then you need to get some permectrin spary & go at night & spary all roosts & nooks & crannies to kill any other mites.
I have used vaseline & Vick's vapo rub too, that works just as well.

yea, .....hm...did we reduce the fees a few years ago by voting on it??? so, they just keep finding more and more things to add to it, and then pretty soon car tabs will be right back where it was before!! Ridiculous!!

What is really ticking DH & I off is all the crap attached to property taxes !
Our taxes here (with no house mind you!) were $378. for 6 months ...........the actual tax (assessed value) was something like $150. and the rest was 2 school levies, 2 fire dept levies & 2 emergency levies for ambulance purchases !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then they just voted for & I think they passed another school levy last month which I am sure will be on the next half of this year's tax, due in October.
Sam thing going on at our California house.
It is killing the old folks on tight fixed incomes.............and boy are we tired of supporting the entire community while most people with kids rent or live in apartments.

And they get tax break after tax break !

I think that by the time my DH started traveling for work, that my kids understood how stressful it had become for both DH and myself. DH will work himself to death, and is convinced that he is always about to be fired for not working hard enough. Back then my DH was working way to many hours, and when he was home he was simply way too stressful for someone, as laid back as I am by nature. With DH working away from home during the week, we got to have the best part of him at home on the weekends. He wasn't as stressed about getting to sleep, so that he could be at work super early.

I must admit that as I was watching and waiting for my second daughter to die, that I learned the value of sleep. I spent Kait's first 6 months of life not sleeping for fear that I wouldn't hear her cry, or that she would die in the night. After being separated from her for nearly 3 long weeks of the less than 11 months that I had with her, I learned that sleep was as necessary as the air that we breath. So after that everyone at my house learned to sleep enough hours of every day. I still short myself on occasion, but I will normally make up for it somewhere else. I was also blessed with a pair of kids that really never gave me much to worry about, until they left home. lol But I also knew that there wasn't much I could change by worrying about the kids. I would rather send time on what things I can change, rather than the what ifs of life.

I do tend to live by the Serenity prayer. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference. It seems to release me from taking on, and worrying about things that I have simply no control over.

It is very scary when your child is hospitalized for emotional issues. I can understand your concern for your daughter. After all we only want the best for our children. I have never experienced the fear that comes from having a husband and father, who is living in a war zone. I do think that the fears that comes from the experience is a very difficult thing to endure. The fears of all the possibilities, even if they come too not much, can and are burdensome for anyone.

I agree its very scary. My daughter who is now 8 1/2 is a daddies girl. He deployed to Iraq when she was just 2 1/2. We got 24 hr notices that he was deploying and gonna be gone for 18 months. I has just had our second baby 7 weeks prior. So it was very hard on her. Going from an only child and then on top of that her world left her with her mama and this new baby. He was the one that would tuck her in and read her books and say her prayers with her. When he left she wouldnt sleep. She went 2 weeks without more then an hour of sleep a night. She would pinch herself and chew her fingers so she wouldnt fall asleep. Eventually she had to be put on sleeping meds. It was very traumatic for her. He returned right before her 4th birthday and ever since if he has to leave on training or anything she freaks out saying hes gonna leave and never come back. She will wake up screaming and shaking no daddy dont leave me. Its easier now that she is older she understands the concept of time. We can say he is leaving this day and coming back that day... Well when we know anyways. But even then he has to wake her before he leaves even if its at 2 in the morning because if she wakes and he is gone she panics and will hyperventilate to the point where she passes out.

Military life is not easy but its who he is so we do what we gotta do to get by... Sleepless nights and all. But let me tell you... the first night he comes home... we all sleep so well. Makes it all worth while.

I don't have any excuse for it, cause I have me one of those fancy atomic bomb clocks. That way I know for sure what the real time is once in awhile.

Sounds like the wine had something to do with it as well.
had your own self a very merry time last night eh ?

I also love these! I've put in an order for DH to make me one for the southeast side of our tool shed. It's a big, blank wall right now....Basically, it's just a wooden frame with hardware cloth, filled with soil. You have to let the plants get well-rooted before hanging them up...but I just love the way this looks!

Careful, they will sunburn, have to have them on the shady side of the wall...and hose every so often, especially if windy.

CL if your man is going to smell like Norwegian Snow Kitty any way, tell him that I want one without the smelly part. I would prefer a baby, if he wants to take the order.

Norwegian Snow Kitties make really good pets, without their stinky parts. It's just too bad that it's illegal to have one here in the State. Though if the NSK didn't have a stinky part, then it couldn't be returned to the wild could it. It would be like the duck in Sumner that the State tried to return to the wild. The duck refused to go a long with the plan to return it to the wild. The State ended up returning it to the only family the duck had ever known.

I did think of you at the time.
I was trying to figure out if we could just tie the trap in the trailer & drive straight to your house & toss the whole thing on your lawn.

I was up long time last night learning about infusing oil with green matter. It really helps to understand how to infuse oils to begin with. DH said that it smelled like I had left the gas on when he woke up this morning. I haven't confessed about what was in the pan, too him yet.

So I am starting to think about making brownies now. All the recipes online seemed to use boxed mixes. I can't think of any reason a person would use a boxed mix to make brownies.

They use boxed mixes as they are the Y generation, and most males, and such have no idea how to actual cook or bake but do a much better job at growing the stuff in the first place.

I wish I could come visit with you Tuesday! I'd bring some frozen birds to add in :)

RW, if I can dig up enough containers I'll save one to bring you if you like.

I'd love some but won't be able to get it until after the 2nd...

How neat is this??

What a good idea! I might have to try this--we have a ton of pallets laying around!

I love the look, but I think the slugs would make fun of me.

that is a nice idea!

for those with slug problems... take stale beer place in dirty throw away bowl (paper bowls can be put in yardwaste for those in the city)
put bowl of stale beer by your plants....
slugs drown in beer.. figure its a great way to go!
