That's the same crap they pulled when I was in, and one reason I got out!! I was a single parent and if I'd have gotten hurt during an operation, the same thing would have happened!! My employer did not pay me when I was gone, all I had was the drill pay, weekend and the two weeks drill. I would have thought they would have gotten their crap together since they are utilizing the reserve's more!!! Think it's time to call a congressman!!!! And yea, now it's all about saving money!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Oh tell me about it... I had to come up with 964 dollars in a week to pay off the travel card because if it went into garnishment I could have lost my brand new truck. Because on or loan it says if anything in your ( my husbands) name goes into default they could repo my truck... *sighs* On a one income household thats not easy to do. But if you wanna hear something really mind blowing he came home in October 2007 from Iraq. He was diagnosed 70% disability for PTSD and back n leg injuries.... His chopper was shot down the first day he got there and they had to crash land and he his unit was blown up by 2 IED's on convoy.... anyways he was told by the VA that he would start receiving his disability no more then 6 months after he came home... some 700+ a month. Ya over 4 years he has still gotten nothing... He calls every 3 months and they say its processing then after 2 years his commander called and they said he wasnt on file as deploying. So they had to REFILE everything. Since then its been 2 years and still nothing....I have heard thru the grape vine that what they are doing is delaying it until the person gets REDEPLOYED... Because once they deploy you again you have to get re evaluated and they dont have to pay you all the back that they owe you from your first deployment. *sighs* gotta love our Government.
