[Chicken Rustler]

Well, after yesterdays blustery day it's now over cast and quiet so I just might be able to clean the coops today!
So I'm really bummed, TCM is playing "The Hanging Tree" With Gary Cooper and Karl Malden and I don't have satellite!!

It's was filmed entirely just north of Naches in 59! It isn't out on DVD!! Dang it Jim!! LOL!! I don't even know anyone with a dvd recorder to record it for me!!! Last time it was on was July of last year!! Anyway, well, maybe by the time it's on again I will have satellite, cause I HAVE a dvd recorder and by God I WILL record it!! LOL!!
When I saw a PBS special on Cooper they said he had filmed something in Yakima, didn't say which movie, so I googled it and went to TCM you can sign up for reminders of when a movie will be on again, and they just sent me the email!!
So if any one cares to watch it's on at 10:15 pm et tonight, filmed entirely in Eastern WA.!

I remember my grandpa taking me to the "hangin tree" that was used in that movie.

BTW What's up wiff Jim? Seems several peeps are liking that!

Hi everyone, This is Ron's wife, Diane. The surgery went well although the doctor said the tear was worse than first thought. It took about an hour and a half. We got home about 4:00 and he took a short nap - just had a little soup and toast so he could take a pain bill. He feels nauseous but not constant. He will be typing with one finger now so might not be on for a day or two but never fear, he'll be on here. He appreciates everyone's prayers and well wishes.

Hi Dianne, tell Ron I'm thinking about him and wishing him the best. I'm going for my appt tomorrow about setting a date for my cuff surgery. I think he said he doesn't like wine - pity, it really helps put the pain in it's place! (works for me!)

I had picked up a silver Ameraucana for my gf from Pips n Peeps on Saturday. In hindsight I should have gotten her 2 full grown birds because the Ameraucana is in a pen all by herself poor girl. Jean had told me to collect any eggs this week because they should be fertile, so of course I've been checking with my gf every day and don't ya know, that bird hasn't laid a single egg since the one she laid in the box on the way home. And she stepped on that one and broke it beyond repair.

I was going to toss all of those eggs in the incubator at the end of the week to see what we'd get. All I've got is the one egg that Jean gave me before I left the show. If I don't get anymore from the silver this week, what would you do if you were me? Would you fire up the incubator for one silly egg? I've been turning it every day. Of course, if it hatched I'd end up with a singleton and next thing you know I'd have a house chicken. I sure wish she'd lay at least one or two more eggs before Saturday.

I just knew there was a chance I'd end up being a crazy bird lady.

Also wanted to say, RedRoosterFarm has been missing in action, and I expected her to be at the show~~~~~~~~

Hope she is doing OK !!!!!!!!!

OK I am a bit behind and this may have been answered. Just in case RRF WAS AT MONROE ! She just seems to have stepped away from here. I talk to her and a few others often.

What med are you taking? Sometimes they just start you off on small doses so they can find the "right" dose. sort of like with thyroid meds. Hope it keeps working for you.

She probably was involved in convo with the chickens. And if ya listened close ya woulda heard the chickens telling Anna she had done gone off the deep end.

Really Anna is a very nice person and easy to talk to.
