Z-goats: How many goats do you have now ?

and what kind ?
I seriously do not know too much about various breeds....and at this point in my life I am not sure I want to commit to goat raising....they do require human contact & care and we have so little time to give to goats...so not sure if I will ever have any.

They are such awesome creatures though !

Hello fellow Washingtonians! I'm new to BYC and was so excited to find a washington thread, I'm in Yakima and we have easter eggers, BLRW and blue swedish ducks. We had a few other breeds but last year a dog wiped us almost clean out.

I'm hoping to attend lots of washington poultry events even if its just to go for fun, but eventually I'd love to show!

Quote: One thing I see is that from the pic it looks like 2" wire I would do 1" for chicks. Also keep in mind that it would have to be transported unless they came and built in place.
Maybe since renart built it he would send you plans to do it.
I don't intend to sound mean but this is a pretty easy build and keep in mind
I HATE WORKING WITH STICKS ! ! !

What about "STICK" welding??? LOL!!!!

Ok I thought I would share this quote from Chris Kimball from Americas test kitchen, he lives in Vermont, but, I think there are other areas of the country this may pertain!!
"
Finally, a few ways to tell if you are a Vermonter. You have 10 favorite recipes for venison. You design Halloween costumes that fit over a snowsuit. You owe more money on your snowmobile than on your car. You frequently clean grease off of your barbecue so the bears won't prowl on your deck. The trunk of your car doubles as a freezer. Your town buys a Zamboni before it buys a bus. Driving in winter is better since the potholes fill with snow. You have more miles on your snowblower than on your car."
Actually this would fit in perfectly for our MI peeps!!!!

Sometimes, some doctors ignore what chiropractors say. Many medical docs think that chiropractic is charlatanry. It is certainly not accepted in many parts of the world, just like acupuncture.

In any event, I hope you get some relief; there is always the option of changing docs.

Hi Everyone!! :frow

Hello all. I live in Kitsap County not far from Poulsbo. I just inherited 7 chicken so I built a small coop from a kit that said it would accommodate 7-10 chickens. Well, I don't believe it so I am building a bigger one from scratch. The current coop will be large enough for now especially since I built a large chicken run for them. I've only had them 6 days and they have given me 14 eggs already!
I'm lookIng to increase my flock my 3 more chickens. I'm brand. Ew at this and am reading everything on the subject I can find. Looking forward to advice and make some new connections with other chicken folks.
Jefferson

Welcome Jefferson! We live in Kingston. Please post your questions, and someone will get back to you with an answer, or at least give it their best. There are some pretty smart chicken peoples here. Welcome again to the madness!
