Well things have taken a twist. I have decided I am gonna pull the plug and go a different direction.

You just have to remember that almost anything is fixable, and that there will always be another old freezer for free. It costs to dump appliances. If I recall right it is at least 25.00 to dump a freezer in King County. So there are many that end up on craigslist that are free. Also people don't have a way to haul things around like they used too. So as CR said one bite at a time, and you can't really break anything. Even if you have to start over with another freezer, just think about how much you have learned from trying to make the first one.

I don't care what a person is doing, or trying to do. But the first time you do anything good or bad, It is educational. It's only stupid if you make the exact same mistake more than three times. I try to make new mistakes each time.

I drilled (with a really tiny little screw type thing) a hole in the end, and used a syringe to put stuff inside. Then I used some tissue to cover the hole, and used acrylic medium (could use white glue but i couldn't remember where I put it) on top of the tissue. It sealed right up and was hard for even me to see when it was dry. Kind of like what they do to blow out eggs for decoration, except I was adding stuff. The problem is, you may kill things other than the squirrels.

Quote: Rats, I don't see any cheap exacto-ish knives; I've found the old one I bought eons ago at Ikea as part of a picture-hanging kit is the second most useful tool I own, after the small needle-nose visegrips.

Hey, again, I hope everyone's well and making progress. I'm barely coping with chores and the disciplines of diabetes right now, not to mention more eggs than I can handle and the usual spring crazies.

I was beginning to miss your posts. So I am delighted to see your post today. I wish there was away I could help you with the chores.
