OMG!!

This puppy is making me laugh so hard!! And dang it I don't have a video camera! He was being a puppy, and I'm on here trying to type and I thought I would give him something to do so I took one of his chew/pull rope toys with a ball made out of the rope in the middle, I put it over his head like a collar!!

He's been running hell bent for election around the house, and stopping to circle and then running again!! It's hilarious!!! He just doesn't know what to do with it!! LOL!!!! But, at least he's not trying to chew the power cord any more!!! LOL!!!

OK so the 1st picture is the pullet next to the roo... Pic 2 &3 are a possible roo... Pic 4 & 5 are of the one I think is a roo... Tell me what you think... Hatch Date April 2nd.

It does look like 2 roo's and 1 pullet, but Wyandotte's are tricky. It usually takes me until 8-12 wks to know for sure with mine. Waiting for the hackle/saddle feathers to come in is your best bet for knowing for sure.

It does look like 2 roo's and 1 pullet, but Wyandotte's are tricky. It usually takes me until 8-12 wks to know for sure with mine. Waiting for the hackle/saddle feathers to come in is your best bet for knowing for sure.

Yeah I am still learning so its just a guess... The Dark one was my favorite too sad... oh well just my luck I got 2 one died the one that lived is a girl and the 2 I got as friends are males... UGH...

so our babies I have deemed look like they have Mange.... they're at the scruffy raggedy stage. Mom's one D'Uccle looks like he has been through many battles of war & should be retired. The Iowa Blue almost has all her feathers.... being born 4/11... oddly enough... We've found that our one baby Orpington is having a major bout of Slow Feather growth. The other birds have their Hackles,Chest & saddle coming in, while she just mainly has her wings still. I see lil spurts of other feathers, but no where near the same as the others... so we're going to keep her in, til her feathers come in more or she'll freeze when the other birds will roast at the lvl she'll require it to be. --- Best idea or no?

cant wait til they're out of this "ugly duckling" stage, so I can stop thinking they're bleeding when its just the feathers popping through....lol

My girls are all 4-5 weeks old right now and are SO ugly! Poor things can't help it but I simply can't believe how ugly and mangy they are at this stage. Kinda gross. Doesn't make me want to socialize them much!

ANY IDEAS? I Have about 20 young pullets with a large coop/run 150sq feet and they get to free range my 1/2 acre during the day but for some reason they are plucking the feathers out of my RIR to the point where their was blood so I separated her brought her back inside to the old brooder. They are not eating the feathers should I put some blue cote on her and put her back with the rest or let her feathers grow back first >any and all input would be greatly appreciated !

IF you have another place for her to live, put her there.
IF you do not, then blue coat her & put her back in with the others.
IF they pick on her again you will have your answer.

She's nine; last year she weaned a steer calf who was only about 200lbs lighter than her. She's Angus X Shorthorn, out of a white cow who we culled for meanness (at 14 or so, she'd been OK but got old and cranky), but she's a sweetie-pie. She's only ever dropped a black calf with an Angus bull, and even then they're mostly blue. Last year's was red and white, and she had a roan heifer out of our last shorthorn bull.

I too, thought it looked like Medusa. In the Movie," Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief - he battled Medusa. Her head ended up a refrigerator. When a bad guy opened the door to look for a snack, her eyes suddenly opened..... that scared the crumbs out of me.. It was good tho!!

My parents' dog, Bailey has been found!!

After 10 days on the run!

She was 13 blocks from my parents' house. She was in someone's backyard (not fenced) and she had dug under the deck. The guy heard her howling the last few nights and finally went out late last night and found her...brought her in, fed & watered her and then called my parents at 6am this morning. He has a chocolate lab, too!

Poor Bailey stunk to high heaven, was very tired and thirsty but glad to be home!

The best part, this hippie dude that found her didn't want a reward. He said that knowing she was home with her family was the best reward!!! It is good to know there are still people like that around!

Sorry for the bad pic---my mom took it with her phone. Yes, Bailey's eyes are THAT red. Poor thing probably didn't sleep for 10 days!
