Besides, if ever you got over here...Worse case scenerio...I would just feed you BBQ until you could not move. Then you would forget about chickens.

Well darn, guess I will miss dinner.. lol And being that I have no coop, any I can look at is good. ROFL! Do you think I could bring my two EE's over for you guys to look at?? People are saying Flash is a roo, and I am in a panic. With the bad luck we have had. OYE! The sooner I find out the better.. They travel rather well in a cat carrier. ROFL!

Just stopping in to say "Hi". I'm way behind on reading posts, so I'm just going to jump back in right here. Our 5-week-old chicks are doing great. My EE dug a hole in ground of my greenhouse today and began to dust bathe. I've read about it on this site - but reading about it isn't the same as seeing it. That's certainly strange looking.

Today we installed a gravity-based nipple water system in the garage pen. I haven't actually seen them drink from it. I'm hoping they'll learn how. We tried to show them what to do. I'm not exactly sure how to know if they've got the idea down or not without sitting in the garage watching them until I see each of them drink. Any suggestions?

Hi I am back again and loving my girls! We started with our 6 then we found a breeder close to home so hubby could finally have a marans and I could finally have an americana! Our girls are just as spoiled as our cats and kids. We were thinking about maybe adding two more to our flock. Yes I know its an addiction and we love it! We were wondering if anyone local like Skagit, Whatcom counties or even northern Snohmish county had 6 - 12 month old laying hens we would like 2 more. Thank you.

Theresa and of course my family

Well the turkey is doing ok. It is drinking water from the waterer and nibbling at the food. I made sure to show it how. Today he isn't as wobbly on his legs. seems to be getting the hang of it. It is pretty exciting. I just wish the chicken eggs would hatch but they are a few days away from that. I swear the incubator is going to drive me crazy with anticipation. LOL. But I am loving it too.

Anyone remember the big black orp roo and pullet I had at the Monroe show? Well, if all goes well in 11 days they will be parents. I put 16 eggs in incubator. 6 are viable. Little swimmers. They are so cute. I am hoping I get chicks. He is not the most "active" roo I have ever seen. So I was not sure if there were any good or not. I am so excited now.
