Seriously ?
You have to get a permit ?
How much is the govt ripping you off for the permit ?????
Geeeze, a chicken permit !
Do they know, like come check to make sure you do not have more than you declare ?
Chicken gestapo......
I am hoping those tiny beetles do not invade us again !
Back to work.
I have never heard of a chicken permit.
Next they will make you have all vaccines and license each bird like they do with dogs.
Little collars...lol

Wish the govt did that with cats.

In Seattle, cats are supposed to be licensed and wear the license on their collar.

In order to have more chickens in everett city limits these are the requirements.
ok here is the deal,

you go down to animal control @
333 Smith Island Rd
Everett, WA 98205 (98201 as of July 1st)

You fill out a Facilities Permit, it cost $1 per head up to $25 after 25 head it stays at $25. This is a yearly fee.

They said it is very easy to do. They DO inspect the property.

Good news!

Could Be the Warmest Day So Far This Year
A weak upper level low of the coast will bring us a mix of clouds and sunshine today - but there may be enough sunshine to finally reach 75 degrees. With Tuesday's high of 74 at the airport, we have not gotten to 75 or higher for 272 days. The last time SeaTac reached 75 or warmer was September 23rd when it hit 81! The old record for not reaching 75 or warmer was 254 days!
Even though it should be dry in the lowlands today - there will be a chance of afternoon showers and thundershowers in the mountains.
Thursday and Friday, the low will continue to rotate weak weather systems through the Northwest for a slight chance of a shower and a little cooler temperatures though still getting into the mid 60s to near 70 degrees.
It should be partly sunny and into the low to mid 70s before showers move back in on Sunday and Monday cooling temperatures to the mid 60s. Skies should turn sunnier by midweek with highs back into the low 70s.
Long range models indicate a chance of showers over the 4th of July weekend with highs in the mid 60s to near 70 - but that is still a long ways away!

Helping our friend who has to re-home her 19 week old pullets: Polish, Cochins, a BCM, Ameraucanas and Hamburgs. These ladies have been vaccinated for Merek's Disease and are being free-foraged with supplement feed provided, as well. I'm in the process of creating a Page on the site with picture goodness, but here's a few to get you started thinking about adding these lovely ladies to your flocks.

Ok duck lovers! I found this adorable duck fountain at McLendon's! It has blue, yellow, green and red L.E.D lights under the water that change! The duck standing up spouts water out onto the light and the bubbles float all lit up!!! OMG!!!!!!!!
