DH is out building a little private coop for a super broody hen we have.

If you are selling hatching eggs, let me know. We want to buy locally, and I have had great successes buying from BYCers.

Anything but silkies, OEG, Seramas, Barred Rocks, RIR, stars, ISAs

I would especially like Faverolles, Chanteclers,

DH just expressed that he would like EE/Ameraucana

Actually, I'd like to borrow you husband. I need a new brooder :)

OK, for some reason I thought you were in OR.
I will ask around some more.
Thank you Chickielady.

I did get an email response from Donna Shoonover but she says she no longer has BA's.

Also said when she did have them they were just hatchery birds.

Haven't heard from Mr. Cowan as yet. Will let you know when I do.

Just got back from Auburn Coastal Farm store...again.

I like it there! Such an awesome place, SO huge!! I can't believe there's an entire feed store inside a building the size of a Walmart. I bought medicated starter to put the chickens back on. I think putting the chicks outside at such an early age probably "helped" them acquire cocci and they've been carrying it around since then. They're on Corid now and on day 5 (when it's over) I'm switching to the medicated starter; will probably keep them on it (and some scrambled eggs a few days a week) until they're laying and then switch to flock raiser. Seems like all this should keep them healthier than they've been; not that they have been unhealthy, they just don't seem to be growing very fast like other flocks I know.

Now DH is sleeping and dinner needs made. Guess I better get the chicken on the grill before too long so it's ready by 6. Anyone else around?
