If I manage to grow enough, that would be nice.

Question to the canners out there... I heard that if you have a glass top range, you can't can on it. Is this true? I keep thinking about investing in canning equipment - but I don't want to break the glass top.
I wont use a canner on mine. I have a weck canner than the presto I havent use it yet. The weck is a boiling water canner and I LOVE IT!!

Im going to use a double burner for the pressure cooker Ive looked into it. Or you can use a camp stove which I might also try..
 
Running over the border again.... Anyone going to the Fleece Animal Workshop in Colville tomorrow? I figure there might be others like me with critter collection issues

. I'm sure the angora goats and llama won't reallllly appreciate my two hour drive and leaving at 6:30 am to go there. Sheesh.
 
I made salsa last year I dont remember how many boxs I did but still have some. I did can a few Quarts of just tomatoes but never used them ok ok I forgot I had them..
I bought a pressure canner a few months back but cant use it on my stove, so fig I will be doing a lot of canning outside in the cool of the day

Im also going to do peachs and want to try some greenbeans only had store bought ones. Oh and Im going to do some pears for use too. I did strawberry jam and ras jam already...
Ok I have to say I love to can and than I love to just look at all the pretty food..

Try canning bosc pears. They hold up with a firmer texture and slight crunch. They are incredible! I also made pear sauce last year. Like applesauce but with pears. Add a little ascorbic acid (I get mine from the brew shop) and the color never darkens!

I have done it with no problems on a ceramic top stove. Just don't drop te pot!
