Ah, yes the weather is definitely better. 4 eggs on Tuesday, 5 eggs yesterday, and so far, two this morning!

Renee - no way, no how, is my RIR or any of the others bantams. I saw bantams in person once...they're seriously TINY. I've seen pics of your birds, don't worry they're full size and she will catch up eventually. All my birds look about the same now, but some weigh less when I pick them up.

Your discrepancy is probably because you're seeing the Brahma nest to them and she's SO large!

LOL! That's probably true!

Are your EEs bigger than your RIR? Mine is.

The weather I think is making a huge difference in eggs, yay! I'm finally getting at least 2 every day and I'm sure it'll pick up as they each start laying. But when it was hot it was so miserable for them...I wouldn't have wanted to go through childbirth every day in the heat either!

Today will be busy with laundry and cleaning house, and cleaning up the back patio from all the garbage and project tools we've used over the last couple months with the coop/run. It's a trashy mess out there and I can't stand to have people coming over taking care of the chickens unless it looks presentable out there. I am "paying" the 2 ladies who will come do the chicken stuff in eggs; they're both happy with that arrangement! Told them anything laid while I'm gone is theirs.

We're going to Costco tonight on a "date" (yep, that's how we peeps with 3 littles roll) to shop for food for our trip. I kinda LOVE that there's gonna be a kitchen there. Now we'll all have happy tummies on the trip; otherwise diarrhea would set in on day 2 and get worse until we get home

Renee - do they have everything we need to cook? Is the kitchen fully stocked with pots/pans, plates bowls silverware cups etc...??? I hope so, I really don't want to have to bring that stuff.

My chocolate Eng Orps were 8-9 weeks. I'm guess these guys are around 4 months old. Beautiful little ones

They're normally sent overnight (the Chocolates were overnight, but these ODs took 2 days). They'll put fruit or some food in the box.
