So, when does little miss Chloe go to Kindergarten ??????????The baby is napping, and Little miss Chloe is playing in her room with her new barbi doll house! Good lord how quikly these two are growing! Baby Emily is already sitting up on her own, chases me around in her walker, and is very vocal. But also so much harder than Chloe was at the same age. Very needy for momma. once I figure out whats wrong with my camera to computer conection I will get recent photos put up for you all to see! Gotta love all the BYC babies.
Speeking of... How are the other BYC babes doing? I know we have at least two others on here besides Emily.
Yep that would be me!
Do any of you Washingtonians have silkie eggs (fertile)? I have a partridge silkie wanting to sit...
thanks
Cool, that I did not know, someday I will go....so far been to every Natl' & state park in California & Washington.Yup .. almost always go there when in Yellowstone -- the same entry fee covers both parks for a week.
HEY, now that ain't fair, you helped too !!!Thank goodness you cannot blame me.![]()
All you newbies dont know me. But I completely understand the feeling of being overlooked or ignored. I myself have been here sence I think 2009, and I still feel overlooked at times. But you need to remember that its nothing personal on anyones part. Just keep on plugging away at those keys, make yourself seen, even if you think your being a pest! Im a pest! But I have lots of friends on here who I love dearly, and have missed quite a bit sence April when I took my break. It can take a while to feel like you are a part of this group, it really can. As I sit here now, I almost feel new again. Just because Ive been gone for over 4 months. But Im here, and ready to move on in my chicken adventures! There really is a wealth of information here on this thread, decades of combined eperience everywhere!
The problem with written conversations is that you can't hear the emotion behind the letters, or the true meaning in the words. Try not to take things too seriously, or to heart to often. We really are one big lovable but disfunctional family.
And please, grammer / spelling police. Leave me alone! lol I mean well even if Im not as correct in my typing as some are! lol![]()
Believe me when I say that although there are squabbles and bickering going on here right now with some, most of the time things get worked out. And we (as in this group) would do the best we could to come to your aid if ever there was a need for it. I started out just reading and asking questions. I took what I could use from the answers and ignored what didn't work for me. I didn't or tried not to get upset if someone was a little abrupt in their reply, I looked at it as information.
AND as you pointed out so wonerfully, we lose tone of voice, facial expressions and emotion through text. I am all for suggesting we use the emoticons whenever we can to express emotions.
Oh wait, Emoticons....Emotions. Huh, what do you know.![]()
This is just a thought and a suggestion.![]()

I love your suggestion its a great idea... there's some great Emoticons on here and I saw somewhere that they may add some new onesI totally agree with your post about taking what works for me and leaving the rest.. Trying to do otherwise would just frustrate me
I think all groups of people, families, forums, work mates have a rhythm and finding the rhythm is key to really being able to communicate and learn.. keeping the rhythm is a whole other topic LOL![]()

Soooo, I noticed that my beautiful tomatoes were being pecked at by something - and I didn't think really that the robins, etc., actually picked at tomatoes. My tomatoes are hanging upside down from milk jugs on my back porch near my hot tub. I finally gave up on my tomatoes and stopped watering them, because I wasn't able to eat ANY of them.
Come to find out it was PRINCESS KATE!!!! I was in the hot tub yesterday mng, she came around with her babies and started jumping at the tomatoes!!! Silly bird!!![]()
OK nobody get all bent here. But the rally monkey is my attempt to get the WA thread BACK to the fun friendly way it was not long ago. I think when we make that happen many folks will see what an awesome group of elderly old codgers we are and hopefully people will also feel more comfortable to join into the group as it is.![]()
Yes, jumping in on this thread is a little like merging onto the freeway when folks are driving at mad speeds! I too was pretty quiet for months before I finally connected with some people and started posting regularly. But I tell you, once you meet some BYCers in person, you will realize what incredible folks there are here. BYC peeps are some of the most giving, kind humans I've ever come across. And there are some quite outstanding cooks, so our potlucks at poultry shows are real good eating!![]()
This thread moves pretty quickly, so it's totally normal to miss posts and get behind. If a post isn't responded to immediately, it may not be people ignoring, it may have been swallowed up in the tidal wave of posts after it! Or, folks just may not have an answer.
