Have put a dozen Spitz/Brabanter/Spitz eggs in the incubator. I expect a hodgepodge in three weeks.

I will have to take more Brabanter pictures - they are starting to fill out - I could see their first egg in October or so.

And Heidi - our Spitz - is such a dainty, beautiful girl. She still hangs out with her 3 cockerel EE buddies and no one else.

Hello friends,
I've been lurking for months and I've noticed we have so many new people.
A belated welcome to you all!

Some of you know my son was overseas. I'm so happy to report that he's back, safe and sound.

Which means I'm up for a party!

Who wants to get together?

The photo is of my first year "cottage" garden. Mostly fragrant flowers, herbs, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and the yummiest Italian plums.
So delicious to go out and water the gardens these beautiful September mornings!

So glad your DS is home!!!

I want to get together! North end meetup! Where and when? Maybe Third Place Books?

And who will join us? Hallerlake? Kim H? RonB? Other new Northenders? Terrorbird?

Thinking about the new coop, I'm so terrified we're going to miss some tiny detail and wind up with a disaster on our hands if the chickens ever actually roost in it. My BF suggested we leave some yummy treats in the coop every night for a week or two before we let the chickens in there to see if any raccoons can make their way to it.

Rough night here. William just kept waking up screaming. I think he may be finally getting in his 2 year molars poor guy! He finally had Tylenol and Motrin at 3:30am and slept until 9! Just finished his breakfast and he's happy as a clam. I had a rough night too after physical therapy, so I just stayed home with him and DH took the big kids to John's flag football game. Hope they're having fun! Sad I'm missing his first game, hope DH takes some pics.
