Hate to say it, but with Midnight you may just be waiting for the egg laying to start (or not). Are your chocolates all females? I did have one Runner drake who only had a tail feather right after his molts. The way he carried himself, it always seemed to get worn off cause it was always dragging on the ground.
My latest babies are nearly five weeks now and I'm just starting to hear some possible quacks (though haven't figured out what's coming from whom yet). All last week I was wondering if I was going to have another batch of all males, so am a bit relieved to think I might have at least a girl or two.
Thanks for the heads up on the Northern Lights! I know they are hard to predict, except knowing about conditions that could lead to them, but it will certainly be worth hanging on the deck extra long tonight just in case.
