Met up with itsren and FireWifeJess this afternoon at Reber Ranch. It was so nice to put faces with names, and chat chicken! Renee's oldest DS made me an origami X-wing fighter and a Yoda, which are awesome!

While I was waiting outside the store, a Reber employee came by and commented on my feed sack tote that I got from Chickielady. He really liked it, and said he would love to get some in the store and have customers bring back their empty sacks for that. I know I love mine.

I know I was seeing green a little bit over your tote! I would love one too!

I looked at skelters but instead got this last Christmas, also from England. I just always put the eggs in the same way so I know which are oldest. You can do the same in cartons.

I found a few of these for $2.50 at a local Ross Dress for Less in the kitchen stuff area...they're only 3x3 and don't have chickens painted on them, but I was pretty excited and picked them up. Now I just need my pullets to start laying...

. The Fathers are eather a really handsome white EE roo or a Road Island Red massive man. Eather way these chicks are just so pretty.

I took over a hundred pictures of the chicks and them with my Great Dane Jazz. He is such a good boy and loves baby anything. Every time he put his face there all the chicks ran up to him and loved him right back.
So I also have these 5 chicks that were given to me the other day, and I have not a clue what kind they are. I figured I would see if ya'll had any idea. They are only about 3 weeks old eat a ton and are twice the size of any three wk old chicks I have every had.......

I just can not for the life of me figure out what kind they are, any ideas!

Those are some great shots, and some nice chicks. Love the pics of them with Jazz too.

BUMMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have you searched for dairy free cheese ?
I know they are out there cuz I have had them before.
I have had sliced sandwich types, which were great, and alot like Kraft singles, in both "swiss' and American flavours.

"Veggie Slices" come in quite a few flavors. (I guess "flavors" is correct.) The "American" flavor is close to Kraft Singles. They also have Pepper Jack, Swiss, Mozzarella and my current favorite "Smoked Provolone."

I haven't tried veggie cheese on anything other than sandwiches and burgers. It's so nice to be able to have a cheeseburger!

The other dairy free cheeses, including the ones that claim to melt and/or brown have been very disappointing.

If anyone has lucked on to a dairy free cheese that can be used in baked dishes let us all know. Thanks.

Quote: I use cartons. Number one through 3. Hold carton so lid opens R to L and fill from end closest to me. When 1 is filled, start #2. Use the eggs in the rotation you start with. I'm right handed, if left handed, hold so lid opens L to R.
We use a pencil and date all our eggs. Just the day # like today would be 30 written on the up end!
